Really good news. I'm REALLY surprised there was nothing wrong with his shoulder. That was an added bonus. ------------------ Dream a deadly Dream. . .
7-10 days , Marion got very lucky. ------------------ "Break off the block like Maurice Green" --- Steve Francis President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
This is good thing? We cant be glad because a person gets injured! Its all fun and games until someone gets killed or seriously hurt . Some NASCAR Fans Tape the Big race and watch the accidents over and over again , Those kind of people make me sick , Of course you watch a Boxing Match to see someone get beaten up . You watch Hockey to see some good hits and maybe a fight . I personally watch Sports for the Competitivness . I can see where your come from though , As a Raider fan , Seeing them knock out 9 QB's last season didnt make me say "Oh Gee , Now it won't be a good game" ------------------
I hope Marion is okay. I hate the Suns, but you never want to see a person get hurt. If you are sick enough to trade a persons health and life for a chance at the playoffs you need help. ------------------
Report on Marion: The final diagnosis, a Grade 3 concussion and a sprained wrist. Man he got off EASY thankfully! ------------------ Dream a deadly Dream. . .
Although I did not get to see the fall, the way you folks describe it, it sure seems that it was bad. I'm glad to see that it wasn't career ending or season ending and that he'll be back in 7-10 days. This reminds me of the magic game on Friday when I saw Francis fall and clutch his knee and I thought he was gone for the season. Thank god that didn't happen. ------------------ Charles Barkley on TBS on the "fat track" poll: "What? 47% said I'd gain more.....why those.....they better be glad this is a family show."
The NBC broadcast did say a few minutes ago that he's out at least 1 week. ------------------ "Ive seen more class at a Pig Humpin Contest ." -- moestavern19 makes headlines again, and in the process leaves little doubt as to what Saturday nights in his hometown of Lompoc, California are like.
What Jason Kidd and Starks had to say after the game: The crowd loudly booed Starks as Marion was taken off, but the Suns' Jason Kidd said the play was clean. "It wasn't intentional. Accidents do happen," Kidd said. "Unfortunately, an accident happened to one of our guys." Marion, who made two big offensive plays in the final minutes, had soared over Starks to get the rebound. "I was backing up to block him out and caught up underneath his leg," Starks said. "I tried to catch him, but he just came down hard." ------------------ Charles Barkley on TBS on the "fat track" poll: "What? 47% said I'd gain more.....why those.....they better be glad this is a family show."
I am not a big fan of Starks at all. However, I have seen the replay over and over. I am a HUGE Marion fan. I love the guy and the way he plays. My assessment of the situation is this.... Marion was already up in the air, with the ball cupped in one hand by the time Starks began backing into Marion. Initially, it looked like he had done it on purpose. But as I watched it again, it appeared that Starks was simply blindly moving backward in an effort to box out. I guess it is hard to say if he did it on purpose, but it is my personal opinion that he did not. It was an unfortunate event, but an accident. I broke my wrist from being undercut in a JUCO game, and let me tell you, it is one scary thing. Falling backward, out of control, and not having any way of knowing how you will land, or what you will land on is terrifying. A Grade III concussion is nothing to laugh at either. He is lucky he didn't break anything, but he will be out for a while with that severe of a concussion and a sprained wrist. ------------------ There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
