Last yr b4 trade deadline, Hawks wanted E. Griffin and G Rice. I was wondering how is the interest level on that.

    E Griffin
    7 mil trade exception

    for

    Shareef Rahim

Third option on team, rebounds good, decent outside shooter,
Hawks still sux so start w/ rebuilding process. I still think E. Griffin will be a REAL GOOD player just not with Francis and Yao bc he will never be the focal point and will neva receive the touches to become a supastar.

Do the trade then sign ex-Hawk Demarr Johnson WHO IS STILL UNSIGNED bc of his injury last season.

Cheap contract and have him back up JJ until 100% healed on injury, then start later

    do bad........ hello he cheap.......

The trade exception doesn't work like that and the Hawks never necessarily wanted EG and Rice, that was just a trade proposal made up by an ESPN analyst.

If the Rockets' doctors think he's worth the risk, I'd much rather have Dermarr Johnson on our IR than Ben Davis. We have to wait on Ben to recover, but then ...kpow!

The original proposal involved EG for SAR, last trade deadline. Aldridge reported it. Most of us assumed Rice would have to be included at that time to make the numbers work. The trade was rehashed by, I think, Chad Ford, prior to the season.

As we have been overly loyal to EG, we waited until he has no trade value at all to prove what a wasted pick he was. Of course, he can still come back, but I don't know, as he has little passion for basketball (and didn't seem to have much before all these incidents).

I only jump in here because I like SAR and think Cat and Mo might net him but he isn't a JVG player, so....never mind.

Rahim does not sux, just not a franchise player, but would be great as third option plus 6'9 Demarr for 1 mil contract.

That is ALOT betta than what we have now.

Y hawks will do the trade?

Eddie Griffin does not SUX, just need more attention in getting the ball when he wants it. Numerous times Francis and Mobley waved Griffin off when he had great post up position to instead set a pick for them.

Hawks not gonna win with Rahim. Might as well start over, with griffin and cap money.

    Yao
    Cato/Taylor/Braggs
Abdur-Rahim (He was a SF when he was on allstar team)/Boki/JJ
    Mobley/Pike/A Grif
    Franchise/Mooch

    or

    Yao
    Rahim
    Jackson/Demarr Johnson
    Mobley
    Francis

Demarr with a broken back is better than Ben Davis. Come on now. He was a Lottery pick 3 seasons ago, did pretty good b4 car crash. He did pretty good on preseason Grizzles and Suns but they already have too many swingman.
