I heard from one of Shard's high school teammates that he is all about coming home. He isn't the money grubbing jerk that most everyone on this board thinks he is and he really wants back in H-town. If he comes home maybe we can find some takers on a Glenn Rice + Kenny Thomas trade because ALL of Rice's usefulness will be gone and most of Thomas' will. C
sorry to disapoint you outkast, but if lewis signs with the rox nemisis mavs, just to get the max in 3 years, then he IS GREEDY for spitting on the rox mce. If lewis signs with mavs,I say lets boo him when he comes to play against the rox. Nachbar is a badass anyways, reverse behind the back dribble,Ive never seen lewis do that!!
Well I think that Nachbar can play the SG slot too. Think about this: C Yao Ming F Eddie Griffin F Rashard Lewis G Bostjan Nachbar G Steve Francis And then you have Mobley off the bench a la Sam Cassell during the championship days. Also if Rashard does go to Dallas, then I agree. Let's boo him...Dallas is the enemy. Always has been...always will be.
refman hate to break it to u but mobley will not be replaced in the lineup and deffaitnly not by a rookie that hasnt proven anything francis/moochie mobley/torres lewis/nachbar griffin/taylor/thomas ming/cato thats insane depth
If Shard is really goin home to Htown, we can now make a trade this off season. We can package Thomas and RIce and even throw Collier in order to get an established hustle and defense role player. I hope STEVE signs for an extension ASAP so that we can make moves for our team.He must still be our first priority.I keep my fingers crossed that everything would come our way
To qoute the great band From Zero, you get what you give...Didn't the rockets spit in Shard's face by telling him they would draft him, then pass on him 3 times?!?!?!?!?!?!? But hey, I dont wanna take any sides....
Who will be able to compete with them space city boyz...................Ming,Francis,nachbar, griffin, Lewis
http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/basketball/ Free agent Lewis to meet with Mavs 07/24/2002 By MARC STEIN / The Dallas Morning News Houston native Rashard Lewis, frustrated in his attempts to secure a lucrative long-term contract from the Seattle SuperSonics, has agreed to visit Dallas on Thursday to tour the Mavericks' facilities and meet with owner Mark Cuban. Lewis, the most celebrated unrestricted free agent on the market this summer, is seeking a six-year deal in the $80-90 million range from the Sonics. With Seattle believed to be offering no more than $50-55 million, Lewis has commeneced negotiations with the Mavericks. That's even though Cuban, whose payroll already sits well over the league's new $40.3 million salary cap, can't offer anything more lucrative than a three-year, $15 million package. The Mavericks are encouraging fans to greet Lewis at D-FW Airport when he lands from Houston on Thursday. Lewis is scheduled to arrive at 11:48 a.m. on American Airlines flight 1058.
if we can get lewis we do. we will have just as many scorers as the mavs do, so i dont see a problem with team chemistry.
