I know it is not Houston Rockets related. But I hope the moderator won't remove this to other forums, because 1. I don't visit other forums of Clutchfan site. 2. Maybe Shaquille O'Neal will talk about Yao Ming in his interviews, which I will translate and post here. Anyway, here it goes with my coverage of Shaquille O'Neal's very first visit to China, which will be about 7 days, sort of a roadshow in 3 major cities, Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu.
Shaquille O'Neal arrived Beijing late afternoon yesterday. Not much people know about his arrival,as all parties concerned had to sign non-disclosure agreement with the organizing company. The purpose of his visit is to attend the signing ceremony, and the subsequent promotional activities with Li Ning Company Limited. Shaq and Li Ning has established a strategic partnership for promoting Li Ning sports gears and apparels in China and globally. The contract is for 5 years. Here are photos of him during the signing ceremony. Please Click Here for More Pictures
is it me or is that chinese man really tall too. well standing beside shaq everyones small... cool read up though. IMO 100+ gold medals is an unbelievable achievement.
Shaq is one of my Favorite Ball Players He is a Man of the people I think he gets far too much flack around here He has to be in the top 10 players in just terms of personality Rocket River
Shaq seems well Received in China Anyone of the Chinese Fans care to comment on how he is viewed there? Esp as Yao main rival here? Rocket River
Hopefully this won't translate into seeing shaq in any T.V. ads. The irony of those icyhot commercials seems completely lost on him, but his Burger King commercials were strangley appropriate. I'm sure that just like here, after a couple of years the novelty of Shaq will wear off in China after being exposed to him.
I think I have read somewhere before that Iverson is the most popular NBA player in China, followed by Tmac, Kobe and then Shaq. May be someone in China can answer your question better.
I don't live in China, but I have plenty of relationship tight to China. It is Kobe........it's not even close.
What 'tight' connections can make you so sure it is Kobe. I think my background is more reliable in this case, since I am a basketball player in China, and many many of my friends are basketball players, and we all play in Shanghai basketball scenes. I can say that Iverson is the most popular player here, many people try to style their game after his...
