I did not watch the game today. But I keep on hearing how Van Exel was scoring at will in the fourth. Why couldnt Rudy bring in Shandon to play some defense on Exel. Francis can play the one on the offensive side, but Shandon could have guarded Exel on the defensive side. Francis might be small to guard the 2 of Denver, but damntit u got to take that chance. When the hell will Rudy learn to use Shandon rite?

i agree with you..... where on earth is our man shandon during clutch time. he's damn reliable and we do need him out there on the court. we're wasting his talent.... get him involved or be prepared to post threads about our missing defensive presence at the guard position next season

I'm right there with you guys. Shandon needs to be in there more, especially at the end of games. I don't know what Rudy is thinking. I guess he likes to have more offensive power in there than defensive power.

However, you could also say that if Bull or Walt had hit just one of those threes they jacked at the end of the game (and they usually do)we would have won. With that being said, I would still rather have Anderson in there and either Hakeem, Cato or Taylor.

Offense gets you through the game, defense wins down the stretch. You need the right mix at the end so that you can make some stops and actually take advantage of them on the offensive end.

This should be the lineup at the end of games. Obviously if Walt is just hot and Shandon or Cat haven't been playing well then substitute Walt, and the same with KT over Mo or even Cato over Dream, but this should be it the majority of the time:

    Francis
    Cuttino
    Shandon
    Taylor
    Dream

If we're playing the Sixers for example, put Shandon on Iverson, Cuttino on Kukoc, and Francis on Snow.

Against the Lakers, Shandon on Kobe, Cuttino on Fox, Francis on Harper

I could do this for the whole League, but the point is put Shandon on their biggest guard/small forward threat, Cuttino on the biggest remaining one and Francis on the smallest one not guarded by Shandon.

I wonder if we can all get together with Rudy and hammer our thoughts in his head [IMG]

The way Kobe is playing, neither Steve nor Cuttino stand a CHANCE against guarding him in the clutch. I know Shandon will come through if we give him the chance.

Newguy, I agree completely with that lineup. That is what our fourth quarter lineup should be. The Rockets could win SO many games. Bloody hell, its so painful, because I know Rudy isn't going to change those lineups of his. I wouldn't want any other person coaching the Rockets, but his lineups drive me crazy.

ROckets03, doesn't Rudy have a radio show in Houston. Someone should call in and ask him the Logic behind some of his crazy lineups.

well it's about time we're seeing love for our boy anderson. If we're really desperate to move cat in the s tarting lineup i say move anderson up to the 3... he's definitely someone we need starting and playing larger minutes. he needs to play the three and cat and francis can stay in the backcourt. the three could seriously do damage together ..... i don't know if any of y'all remember but a few years ago we tried to plan a rally to get the city's attention to build a new arena... how about we get a few guys posting signs get anderson involved and posters saying anderson in clutch time... hold them high and cheer him on everytime he gets the ball... maybe then rudy will listen that we love him and want him involved...

We've been starting Shandon at the 3 and Cat at the 2 at the beginning of the second half. My hunch is Cat would be starting if Rudy didn't want him to get the 6th man award

Thats a good idea. Ill look into it. But I know Rudy will say something like "well i felt moochie was really a calming influence" or something to that effect. [IMG]

moochie is not someone i want out there in clutch. anderson though is. we've seen him shoot shots straight to our hearts especially playing for the jazz and we've at least seen him do 20+ pts spurts before... the chances of him getting that shot in is better than mooche. with anderson's defense it should also be a calming factor. the fact is i don't want to see him sitting on a bench and watching him rot on our lineup. the boy has a tight attitude.. he's waited years on that utah bench to start on our team it's time we give him the ball... anderson should be out there and should be a key option to our offence. he needs to play and we should be thinking about running plays for anderson. we should be more worried about running plays for anderson than mo. anderson at least tries hard and works hard.... explain how a guard like anderson can grab more rebounds and play better D on a huge fella than our power forward mo.... anderson should start and anderson should be out there playing heavy minutes.... if we loose anderson i'm seriously gonna shoot rudy.... someone seriously find out if rudy has a radio
