Yep, it's gig pimping time again...... Carl Hayn and the Holdouts, opening for Wayne "The Train" Hancock, this Friday night (February 17th) at Fitzgerald's, located at the intersection of Studemont & White Oak in the Heights. Cover charge is $10. When you pay, please tell them you are there to see us. We go on at 9:00 PM sharp (so they say, anyway), and Wayne the Train always draws a nice crowd. We are the first band upstairs, after us is Highspeed Hayride, and then Wayne the Train. Headlining downstairs is the b*stard Sons of Johnny Cash, another great band. Your cover charge gets you into upstairs and downstairs. Remember, this is not the blues band I play with....this is the loud-ass Singer/Songwriter-Texas/Southern Rock band I play with. Get it right! Hope to see y'all there!
Yep....one hell of a band name, and a great country rock/rockabilly band. They're from SoCal and have been around for years. I played on a bill with them once back in LA in 1996 or 1997. http://www.bsojc.com/index.html
Wish I was in town this weekend, man, sounds like a great show - Wayne, BSoJC & the Holdouts are all excellent.
I'd have a drink for you....if I was allowed to drink. Instead I'll have my brother have one for you!
I hope that I can finally hear the Holdouts live! It seems something comes up everytime y'all have a gig. Wayne Hancock is awesome! Not that familiar with B. Sons of Johnny Cash, but I've heard they're good too.
At first glance I thought the title said "Shemales!!! Utterly Shameless!!!!" Seriously... I clicked on here expecting to see some shemales.
Cool! Can't wait to see you! The reason I posted the Elvis picture is because Lisa Marie Presley got married for the fourth time. She married her guitar player/musical director/collaborator. His name is Michael Lockwood. He used to be the night manager at the rehearsal studio I rehearsed at in a baaaaaad part of East Hollywood back in the early 1990s. It's one of those "I knew him when" thingies for me. He's a nice guy and a great guitar player. Maybe I should wear a tuxedo shirt tonight??? http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/02/17/AR2006021700640.html
Sounds like a great show. Wayne Hancock is always great. I would love to get a chance to see your band play. BSoJC are pretty good too. If you ever head back to LA for some gigs let me know. I will be there.
