    RANT

I just want to say this roll out is the worst since the NT days.. **** is hitting the fan over here.. I feel like rolling up into a little ball and crying like a baby.. Every time we fix one thing another pops up then another then another.. it's like a endless fire.. The last problem we "fixed" with a domain controller server caused the system to take over an hour to startup and another hour to shutdown:mad: My job isn’t very stressful, but the last few days I feel like jumping out the window.. I cant get clearance to call Microsoft at their $250.00 rate per call.. On top of this one of my main bosses feels it's sooooo important for me to get his PALM up and running with Outlook  I know 12 year olds that could setup a Palm.. Anyone else having a bad week??

You should have tested all this in an eval environmnet before just throwing a service pack onto your production system.

Everything was tested before the rollout, now a few days later we are having to plug into a new system for another local company that was not on our scope and that is causeing all kinds of conflicts with SP1..

    I prefer...

If it's still supported, don't upgrade.

I lost a 250 gb external hard drive the other day. I was reformatting my computer and had ALL of my stuff on it. As if that wasn't bad enough, my roommate was doing the same thing and had all of his stuff on it. Stay away from Bell Microproducts "Hammer" external hard drive line. Or if you get one, make sure you don't accidentally pull out the plug while its on.

I'm thinking of buying a Seagate Barracuda and getting an external enclosure. Is Seagate a good brand?
