HE CREATED THIS MESS BY SHIPPING OFF ASSET AFTER ASSET IN ORDER TO CUT COSTS. Obviously now the team can't compete, but it was all his own doing. You don't get to sit back and feel vindicated that you put out your house fire after you're the one that left the ****ing stove on all night.
Les to all Rockets fans, who he probably hates like he hates Houston and that's why he sold the team to the only potential buyer with the clear potential to be worse than him. :
Why come out and say you are giving the authorization to pay the tax and then back out soon as there is an opportunity to do so? It's easy for me to hate this guy so bashing on him in this thread is not some knee-jerk reaction for me haha. He needs to just shut up and make food lol
Calling for weekly Rocket's protest in front of his Post Oak at Uptown hotel during peak hours until he realizes how shitty of an owner he is and hopefully sells the team. He won't quit just cuz of a protest, but the protest against him has to devalue his property or drive away revenue.
I look forward to the next offseason and the next trade deadline where Tilman "has authorized Morey to go into the luxury tax" and then unloads salary and assets to save himself some more money. I cannot wait. #WinAtAllCosts
**** Tillman, please sell. You took a contender and tanked it with cheapness all while lying and saying you’d spend (I’m making myself feel better by pretending he’ll read that)
Wish he would sell the team get his money back and just give it to someone with bigger pockets. He can barely afford this team
Wish I knew the next time he was in attendance at a rockets home game so I could start a "sell the team" chant, but even he doesn't go to rockets games.
1) Tilman burner? 2) He shouldn't have re-signed Chris Paul if that's the case. If he wanted to save money, he should have just done that.
None of us can give Fertitta greater negatives vibes than the Chinese government continuing to not let him build or operate any casino, hotel, or restaurant franchise operation in their country. Assuming that's still the case. I agree, he should sell the team. But to who? And will he get 2.2 billion back for it? I don't know. I have doubts. Until, e.g., one of the Duncan heirs decides they love pro basketball, and want themselves a team, we're stuck with Fertitta. I never expected they would go over the tax. Not anymore. I learned my lesson last offseason. But I did expect them to try and spend near it. 5.8 million or so away is not enough. I will wait and see. Maybe Morey and MDA have unlocked the next revolution in pro basketball. I doubt it. Currently, they would host a first round series against the Jazz, which they should win handily. Make it the Grizzlies or Mavs with Doncic, and I'm not sure. First round out, and again, I'm not as confident as the rest of you that James chooses to stay through the remainder of his deal. We'll see. Maybe Covington is the missing link and the Rockets roll off 15 wins in a row? That'd be pretty sweet, amd you could tell everybody you got to doubt them first.
does that mean we get our 1st rounder back? please ...where to we go to redeem our 1st rounder voucher? so if morey can't acquire a top player we lose our draft pick. if morey can acquire a top player, we keep our draft pick?
