C'mon, v, even you are not that stupid, are you? With over 1 Million "fans" there are quite a few comments offered. I coursed through a couple of pages of them, WITHOUT COUNTING, and had an impression that a significant number of the comments were hostile to the page's intent. You can see that just by spot-checking. Since you have to be a "fan" to make a "comment" it is fair to assume that a corresponding percentage of the fans of the page do not actually support the mission of the page. It's just internet "woofing."
so its ok to wish death upon public figures, but not private individuals? btw, i said a prayer for you last night before i went to bed that something bad would happen to you. but i was just kidding around. Spoiler no i wasnt. Spoiler yes i was. Spoiler no i wasnt.
heh. great minds... All of this gives the chestless pundits the vapors. Joe Klein of Time magazine said the opposition rhetoric is bumping up against … SEDITION! It would make a great musical, wouldn’t it? “Teabagger on the Roof,” with everyman Bubya leading the townspeople in a rousing number. Sedition! Sediiiition! Why do we question the power of the state to regulate every aspect of our lives? (pause) I don’t know. But it’s sedition! And it is what Beck wants us to do. Of course, Fiddler on the Roof had the tea party creed buried in the opening number. The townspeople crowd around the rebbe, and ask him to invent a prayer for the tsar. The rebbe is taken aback: a prayer, for the tsar, he says with astonishment, wondering how to reconcile his distaste with his duty as a man of God. He thinks. He says: May the Lord bless and keep the tsar. Far away from us.
Of course none of that says anything about Obama accusing people of Sedition. Actually Joe Klein's piece and the other journalist who added LImbaugh's name doesn't actually accuse anyone of being seditious either. You guys are so eager to be oppressed, your developing a persecution complex.
Yeah.... until some of them started acting out on it and the world came under fear of senseless, murdering terrorists. Let's re-visit this when the first Tea Partier takes down a building or bombs a market or does something horrific besides mis-spell a word or call a bad name.
The Tea Party is a right wing movement and members of right wing movements have taken down buildings and murdered innocent people.
Are you suggesting we call them McVeighers? How broad is your brush... and how do you collapse time? We recently had the 15th anniversary of the OKC bombings and the TPers have been around for about a year and are only dominated by Republicans; there is no exclusivity.
You are wishing harm on someone you've not met due to having opposing opinions about a political matter. You're childish. See, you're "copying" my explanation of that FB fan page.
You're a hilarious guy. Do you stand-up? How do you get up to the stage while being blind? Do you have a seeing-eye dog, too? Man, cancer AND being blind. Your life sucks, but at least you're a funny guy, so I bet you don't take things too seriously.
First off while the name might be different the overall view is the same, a fervent distrust of government, particularly the Federal government. I mean do you consider a new Muslim group chanting "Death to America" to be less serious because it hasn't been around? Second, so you actually agree that the Tea Party is really controlled by Republicans and not an independent movement?
