Scratch Fixing Machine?

    Hey, a friend was telling me that there is a machine that can fix scratches on cd's. But I have never seen one, do u guys know if it exists, and how much they are and where i can get one.

    Yes, they do exist. I have a friend who works at CompUSA, and he said that the first weekend they were employing it, anyone who showed up could get one CD fixed for free. I didn't go in, and I don't remember how much it costs now, but supposedly it is the real deal.

    There are also some solutions you can buy and use at home. I've used one before, and it was okay.

    The thing about scratched CDs is that they are repairable as long as the silver platter isn't scratched. If so, then you're toast.

    consider car wax.

    those CD fixing kits are basicaly just repackaged car or furnature wax marked up about 1000%. Clean it first with something like rubbing al. Also, only rub from center to outside, as scratches along the grooves are much harder to fix than those across them.
