    Justice Q&A:

Question: With the signings of two point guards, Charlie Ward and Bob Sura, what are the Rockets options for acquiring a back up center? Are they still able to sign a veteran to a minimum contract? Is there anybody worth having that might be available using the trade exception?
    Doug in Houston

Answer: Acquiring a backup center is their top priority now. There are lots of names floating around out there, and I'm not sure who they're most comfortable with. Scott Williams is a name I've heard associated with the Rockets, but I don't think he's their first choice. I have a feeling it'll happen rather quickly.

    Whoa, where's the love?

Actually, IMO, he is the best sportswriter in town except for the venerable and excellent Mickey.

As a Phoenix Suns fan, to keep it on topic, no offense to any Houston residents, Scott Williams said that his preferred destination in 2004 is Phoenix, Arizona.

Not saying that Houston would be a lesser destination, but we all, as fans, love him for the support that he gave our men both on & off the court in our sweet run in 2003.

Regardless of where Scott ends up, the man is truly a quality individual & deserving of a roster spot.

Whether he ends up here, in Houston or Dallas, the man deserves our respect in that he's taught ALL of our teams' the value of competition and commom respect.

he brings toughness, and a very high bball IQ. at least thats the reason nelly gave for starting him last year. if we can't get deke i would be happy with him. although he wouldn't be my second option since clark, hunter, and tsakalidis are still available.

Agreed, and nice post. I was surprised his name was mentioned -- I thought he was Phoenix or Dallas ... or retired. He would be good IN ADDITION to Deke.
