Talk about overreacting after a couple of plays... if he didn't play more minutes, it wasn't because of being in foul trouble.

3 fouls in 8 minutes, two of them very soft fouls for 3 point plays....

I don't blame Adelman for pulling him.

Too bad for the JVG haters he isn't here to use as a scapegoat for the players' failing anymore.

i guess you should start a "Scola is an All-star" thread now seeing how he's effective against UTah in one half.

If you consider 17 mins 6 rebs and 5 pts is all star... I will go head and make one....

Or you can check Hayes' stats before you bark at me.

how about you not judge a guy on the first 9 minutes of his NBA career?

I said he needs time to adjust before he becomes a starter. If you want to disagree with me thats fine... but you can't change my opinion, I still think he needs more time.

The line against the Jazz: 29 mins: 7 pts, 9 rebs, 1 ast, 1 stl, 3 PFs. Scola looked like he belonged out there tonight.

Utah is a semi-european style team. Scola is good at playing against them.

His main strenght is his footwork and the back to the basket game, I hope he will get the chance to show that soon...

His defense is actually pretty darn good. He was very aggressive rebounding the ball too.

    yep

lack of intensity has never been the problem... getting into foul trouble is the issue, but he handled it pretty well tonight.

I thought people were saying before he played for us that he lacked speed on his lateral movement and was suspect on defense. Was that all a myth?

That 18 foot jumper tonight will prove to be very useful as the season goes on. If Adelman has faith in that shot, it will continue to open up the offense.

I actually expect more points out of him, he just didn't get the ball much on offense.

Scola has eliminated any doubt about being able to rebound. He only had 3 fouls tonight. While there will be setbacks along the way, Scola is going the right direction. I'm still concerned about burnout by playing too many minutes over the long season.
