The first on Kobe, second a questionable one on Billups, and the last one I think he was upset nobody get back in defense and run all the way and foul. Anyway he did going to play to many minutes, this game means nothing.
Scola is looking great out there against the NBA competition. His off the ball movement is terrific. Unfortunately, his teammates were trying to force feed him a couple of times, which led to turnovers. He also had a couple of BS calls against him... the one with billups and the other clean block on anthony. International play is pretty damn physical... they are letting a lot of the pushing and shoving go.
USA is clearly a much much better team. So it makes me happy that USA is winning and Skola is playing great. BTW, I wish Bill Walton would just Shut Up!
wow scola looks amazing. he is clearly stepping up his game for the competition. he certainly did not look over matched on defense at all. those calls were bs. man i am freaking pumped after watching that first quarter from scola. this guy has the ability to turn it up to another level and there aren't many players like that around. WOWOWOWOWOW!!
scola looks REALLY good. offensively, he'll def. be a MAJOR piece for us. he can REALLY be a brad miller type of player. but defensively, don't let these foul calls show what kind of calls the NBA refs will call. international refs are SO inconsistent. i think scola will be ok. sure this could be one game like vspan, but vspan was HOT that game and he was never a shooter. scola is scoring in several ways. i'm confident he can start on opening day and contribute immediately. he's not a normal rookie. but US is just too good.
he was guarding carmelo some and he looked very solid. he also wasn't afraid to mix up it up howard down low.
bill walton- thank you for the geographical history, origin of the name of the country, and explanation of argentina as a bi-continental nation... so many ballhogs on team USA! how dare they roll over team Scola...
