I think Scola will be gone soon and Martin closer to the trade deadline in February because of his salary.

Scola with Dwight would be nice. Definitely need a shooter next to him.

Scola can teach the kids professionalism

And Martin can teach them how to get 20 pts a night in the flow of the gamer without demanding the ball.

We'll be Ok if they stay

As many others have said before, we (including our brass) value our players more than just about everyone else. They are still here because nobody will give up what we want for our two best players. It's only a matter of time before DM will have to lower his expectations of what we get back, like was done with Lowry.

Keep Scola.....he's a leader on and off the court!
With all the rookies coming in we are going to need him....

How long did it take you to find a pic of Martin going for a rebound ??

With other people around no less

I can understand trading them, but their value seems to be at an all-time low after last season. If they can't get what they're really worth for them, I can understand keeping them. Scola is really good, and I am probably in the minority who values Martin's scoring.

Keeping these guys makes no sense. It inhibits playing time for younger guys. It's akin to starting Carlos Lee at first base and taking away at bats from Brett Wallace...difference is, it was harder to move Carlos Lee than it would be to move either of these guys.

Move along. If you're going to rebuild, then rebuild....keeping these guys on the roster conflicts with that goal. That they are both relatively good players is exactly why you trade them...because you're heading into this season looking at the 2013 draft -- not playing make believe that you're on some magical run.
