    Board's riding high right now...12 straight wins. But I think the biggest reason for this is Landry/Scola and their heart, effort, consistency, and knack for this game. COUNTLESS times on ESPN tonight they would say how Scolandry always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Fighting for loose balls, always getting the right rebound. Last year at this time we had Juwan Howard and Chuck Hayes. Those two COMBINED dont even make up one Luis Scola. And we pretty much have two of these guys. I hope Landry doesn't use what we did over the summer as leverage against us in the offseason, but we need to bag him to an extension SOON. We got real lucky with these two. Had to get that off my chest.

    P.S. WHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

    I'm right with you. Landry has easily become one of my favorite players because of his heart and hustle out there on the court, something this team has lacked for a real long time.

    We have Scola, Landry, Battier, Hayes, and Jackson on one roster. Every one of those guys has a motor that's running 110% all game, every game. It's beautiful to watch. The effort these guys put forth is just incredible.

    I think Jon Barry was right on when he said when Scola and Landry substitute for each other there is virtually no drop off in PF production. Scola is a bet more crafty and Landry is more into the power dunking game but both fill the same niche perfectly.

    That block on Landry was pretty sick as well.

    lol... love the hustle by Landry.

    This is the second time he's been blocked hard like that in a row. NO game and this game.

    Love the heart and the hustle though...

    who would have known our PF being horrible at beginning of season would become this good now. Awesome!

    Our PF position improved the day Juwan left this team. It's a travesty that it took 3 years for Rockets to get a legit PF playing alongside Yao/Tmac.

    Good stuff. I knew this team would be better once Juwan was traded. That trade was addition by subtracton. Hayes is not bad. He works hard, but he's just not as talented as Scola and Landry.

    I am hoping that the Rockets camp and Landry's camp realize that they need each other. The Rockets need Landry to complement Scola, and Landry must realize that he is playing this well because of the system, the players, and the coach who gave him a chance to play.

    I agree that he deserves an extension, but I hope his agent doesn't get too exicited. If so this could drag out and he could find himself riding the pine again with another Morey player taking his minutes. IMO.

    I'm going to concede that Morey is a genius. the past couple of years our weakest positions were at PF and PG. This year Morey comes in and:

    PG: Rafer/JLIII/Head -> Rafer(improved due to Adelman?)/Bobby Jackson
    PF: Juwan Howard/Chuck Hayes -> Scolajuwon/Carl 'Born Clutch' Landry

    It's notable to mention that Luis Scola was obtained from the Spurs using Vspan (!!!!!!! what a steal) and that Landry was obtained by trading a 2nd round draft pick with Seattle (another mega steal). Our twinheaded monsters at PF pretty much emerged from nothing! Great moves by Morey.

    That cheap b*stard Alexander should just pony up the dough. Who needs distractions when you're trying to win?
