I thought I'd scene these pics before. Here's what Snopes had to say... Still really cool photos, though.
I was glad to read what snopes had to say because my first thought was that is NOT a hurricane, and my second thought (especially on those last few pics) is that is NOT the Gulf Coast. Still, awesome pics.
They're from a storm chaser's camera. And they are beautiful photos. Imagine the sense of awe one would have being at the actual scene....
They're from this guy's site here: extreme instability If you like the images above there are many more at the site (videos as well).
I am in awe of nature, always been. Like a beautiful woman, it seduces you with its beauty, and then it destroys you
Wow those are awesome, but they are much much too small to be an actual hurricane. The only way I can imagine seeing a hurricane from that point of view (seeing both sides) is say, from a mountain top. And then it would be too high to see it from below.
Wow. Nice pics - I thought they were sci-fi paintings or something at first. Many still don't look like they're from this planet..
Awesome. Just awesome. I kind of wanted to use them as desktop wallpaper. But these photos depict a natural disaster waiting to happen. Who knows if anyone lost their homes or, worse, their lives, to these storms. So I would feel weird looking at these everytime I turn on my computer.
