Yeah, 5 meters was as close as I could get with the Galaxy Nexus. It seemed to operate in increments of 5; perhaps some GPS chips do that and can never feasibly get to 0?

So the VZW Engineer model of the Gnex just got it's update to Android 4.1 New G+ icons, new gtalk, and new screen saver mode. Along with new radio's.
It's really fast. Like, twice as fast as the Honeycomb browser on my Transformer. I haven't had to force close it yet, either, which is a great change. It doesn't do Flash though, but that's not really a big deal for me.
I just got the latest bug fix for 4.0.1 (build ITL41F) so, true to Nexus form, updates getting pushed quickly. I'd wager that the 4.1 update fixes some bugs involving the LTE version of the phone for Verizon.
Yup, and another update just hit the VZW Engineer model again. Makes phone snappier, new framework, and it's also possible the build enables the dock that's yet to come out to work. Fortunately for you, even had you not received the update, you'd be okay since we don't utilize any network on the 900mhz spectrum By any chance, do you plan on unlocking your bootloader?

The wait might finally be over . I received confirmation from my local corporate VZW store that the phone will be sold tomorrow. They even told me they would put one aside for me. I hope they don't bull**** and back out at the last minute. Wish me luck
