I find it so odd that Google can't give a set official release date, especially considering it seems close.

Also surprised to see Verizon bloatware on a Nexus branded phone. Hopefully that doesn't mean they are giving Verizon more carrier control on a Nexus than they should.

I just hope Google doesn't keep carrier exclusivity for very long. Look how long Sprint had to wait for the Nexus S (released in Dec for T-Mo, released in May for Sprint).

It's Verizon who cant' give us a set official release date.

They have two other phones right now that they are trying to market hard while they can. The RAZR & the Rezound

The carriers in Europe have already agreed to November 17th, it is out of Google and Samsung's control at this point.

You would think Google would have the clout at this point to get things set with Verizon, particularly since they are dealing with their Nexus line.

Sounds more and more like Google has quite a tie to Verizon these days.

Money talks. Google will go with Verizon's missing announcment, if their CEO sees it as a more profitable than definitive announcement from AT&T, T-Mobile, or Sprint. I don't blame Google for wanting more profit. It's what drove them to be a successful company to make a great search engine and cool products.

How is not being able to tell your customer base the actual details of your launch more profitable?

One way could be Sprint or AT&T were unwilling to agree to Google's wholesale price, even though they would make an announcement of a definitive date. I just don't see Google going with Verizon unless they were paying more money.

Google certainly knows what it's doing. They have done very well. I only wish I had bought some stock years ago. If it's a dumb mistake, they will lose out to Apple, Microsoft, or RIMM. The market will punish them.

Not RIM. They're starting to bleed really bad. Just look at the TSX

I am seriously considering breaking my contract for this phone. I have a basic phone and im looking at the nexus or the razr.

razr seems to have some awesome features with the gorilla glass, kevlar, 8mp camera, email encryption,

the main reason im leaning to the nexus is the possibility of a removable battery. is that stupid?

    any thought?

To each his own. Nexus doesn't have an sd card slot.

I don't like what I've read about the RAZR screen.

I would hold out on the Razr. I don't really like what Motorola has to offer. The kevlar is a gimmick, you can easily scratch it up and it's not like you can shoot a bullet through it lol.

I do like how thin it is, but that's it. The bezel is huge on it though

The razr is the ugliest phone I've ever seen. It has the styling of an 80's car.
