    S.O.S=SAME OLD SH&*

    I have to be a realist guys, after 20 games heres my honest opinion.......................

    The Rockets after 3 years of being together
    are stil just an average team with above average expectations. Its the same thing every year. Rudy has got to rally the troops.
    I'm not trying to bash Rudy but you'd be lieing if you said you never watch a rockets game and wonder what the heck he's doing sometimes.

    We can't complain about not having enough talent because I can name teams doing more with less talent than us.....like the Nets for instance. Without Jason they were the clippers east, now they're one of the best teams in the east. No stars just a bunch of role players.............

    Anyway let me get to a point here

    If the rockets want to get over the NBA hump into the upper echelon of teams they have to play more consistently........they are going to have to stop this jekel & hyde routine. They can't be good for 2 games and be bad for 2 games. They are going to have to play more even every night. They can't have us wondering which team is going to show up. The one that stomped the Kings and 6ers, or the team that not only loss to the GRIZZ and CLIPPS, but were also embarrassed by both, and thoroughly outplayed in every aspect of the game. That is uncalled for and should not be accepted.

    I'm not saying they can't lose to the clips and grizz, because this is the NBA and both teams have tons of talent. I can accept a loss. Hell the Clips beat the LAkers last year so they are capable of beating the Rockets. I can accept losses, but do not get outplayed and embarrassed in the process.

    Think about it the Kings play the same way night in and night out, so do the Mavs and other upper level teams......the rockets.....................you get the picture

    bottom line we need an identity, without that we'll still be a jekle and hyde teams. We can't complain about talent or chemistry any longer guys, time to step up

    Your right, time to put up or shut up. To tell you the truth we are no different from the clippers... A bunch of under-achiever's. We can do it once we learn to stop making excuses and start being accountable. It aint hard anyone who watches a Rockets game knows the deal. I love Stevie to death, And he is untradeable in my eyes. He is also ver comparable in ability to Baron Davis. But Baron plays more like a point to make his team better. Steve is making progress but the people around him has to help him as well. Another thing to think about, look how Hubie Brown has the Grizz playing. Someone said before the game last week that we were going to whip the Grizz. I said the Grizz are playing like a team these days and if we are not careful they will byte us in the arse. Well we all know what happened. Bottom line is they are all professionals and get paid handsomely. I hate excuses, buts and what ifs... Rox its time to ball like everyone in the league know you guys are capable of. When you Kcuf up be men and say we kcufed up.... They are not LEARNING from their mistakes... Personally I think it starts w/ coaching but I dont want to start nothing here so, thats that...

    They are a young team. They're going to be inconsistent. Why can't anybody accept that? Accept that fact. Move on.

    Unfortunately, with the sky high salaries, it's much more of a players' league now. And unless you bring in a Phil Jackson with enough rings for both hands, Rudy can stress the type of team-plays, ball movement, unselfishness, smarts, whatever all he wants but if the players can't, won't, don't execute, then it's not going to show on the court. Not every team can have a Magic or a Larry that demands team-oriented basketball and also take over at crunch time. I still think the Rockets (after 20 games) have made good improvements. They are playing a little above .500 ball, which is where they should be, playing in the Western conference. If after 2 years, with the same crew, they are still playing .500 ball, then Houston, we have a problem!

    Yeah I guess, if mediocrity is the best possible outlet. I can want a mutimillion dollar salary but if the best job i can't get is the one with my credentials, then I don't have much of a choice do I. But this team can improve so I guess acceptance + hope for a better tommorow.

    Accept growth...Accept patience....Accept getting the right chemistry down...Accept the learning curve.

    How long has Yao been here...a month?!?! This team has one truly respectable veteran and you want them to bring it like the Kings and the Mavs?!?! Last I've seen, they have 0 championships in their history. Why not be like the Lakers who lost recently to Golden State and lost to sub-.500 teams like 9 times last year?!?! Teams will lose to bad teams and with a young team like the Rockets, they will lose more often. But this team is not mediocre. Mediocre teams do not beat your sacred Kings and steady Spurs by 20 each. The true season begins in the playoffs and they will get there even if they are "mediocre."

    So I guess I'm asking to much by saying I would like the rockets to play more even. I know they are going to lose to bad teams just stop with the jekle and hyde routine

    Bottom line I would just like to see the same team every night........at this point I don't know who will show up and thats frustrating.
