from the chronicle: Sam Cassell said he is not the least bit surprised with the resurgence of former teammate Hakeem Olajuwon. "I said it all along," Cassell said. "I knew Dream could still play. I told everyone, `We should get Dream.' Could you imagine that? Us with Dream in the paint. Me, Ray (Allen) and Dog (Glenn Robinson) with Dream inside. That would be unbelievable. We'll take Dream any time." damn...it's good to hear that from ex-players especially sammy...moments like this get me all teary-eyed. ------------------ Thank God for NBA League Pass..cuz livin' in Austin is killin me when there's nothing but Spurs games to watch.
"sniff, sniff..." Gascon ------------------ Sometimes I think I'd be better off dead. No, wait, not me...you.
maybe if Sam distributed the ball like he does in Milwaukee, he could still be playing for the Rocks and his dream could come true--then again, I think Francis will suffice : ) Ah, it's good to see Sammy maturing... ------------------ "Their Tiger Kung Fu is strong, but our Dragon will defeat them!"
Thanks for the quote killah. Makes me a little nostalgic. I doubt Dream would go to Milwaukee, but he would bring exactly what that team needs to be a true contender for the Finals: defensive intensity. ------------------ In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.
Sam will always be one of the best Rockets ever! I have always cheered for the guy no matter where he has played (just dont go to Utah or LA ). If the Rockets dont win the championship this year I hope Sam does. ------------------
You still gotta give Sam some love for what he did against the Knicks . Glad to see him getting good playing time on a good team , but it still felt pretty good to kick his ass in his crib ------------------
