I go everytime I visit Houston. Beautiful facility. It's a shame more people don't turn out. Bring your son Max, he will love it. Get a great view of the horses as they parade, then go right up to the fence next to the track near the finish line and get a closeup view as they finish the race. You pick a horse and let your son pick one, it will only cost you $4 and root your horses on.
We should do a CC.net outing there. Weve been thinking aboug going too. Anyone up for it??? There is a good sports bar just down the street where we can go afterwards.
that's what me and my buddies back home do. go gamble for a while, then listen to some texas country. last time i went jerry jeff was playing. it was a pretty good show.
I used to live in Woodland Trails back when I didn't know a the track existed. Now I live equidistant from the track, but on the other side of the beltway. CFHS had their project prom there my senior year, and I think the year after. I didn't get to gamble with real money but I did win some "money" off the "races" they were showing on the videotapes. It seemed like a nice enough place, but we were only allowed in the indoors part... We couldn't go to the infield or to the ouside seating or anything like that. It probably would have been much cooler if we had.
