After this Bad trade with NY goes down, the Rockets will have NO CAP room in the offseason. After all this talk about 2010 positioning......they will have no cap room to sign ANYONE, except for the Mid-level exception.

Are you forgetting about Les's other favorite day of the year?

    What would you rather do?

Its not like letting McGrady's contract expire would bring substantial cap space to sign other teams' FA's any way.

Dude that's two threads today you've made on the exact same subject. We get it. You don't like the trades and you want Morey fired. Stop. Please.

What are you talking about? If this goes down, it would be one of the most interesting offseasons ever.

We're going to be heavily rooting for the top FA to not go to NY so their picks turn out to be lottery ones.

I think the rockets aim at 2011 summer (at earlist 2011 trade deadline). They will wait and see how Yao will play after he comes back from the surgey.

if we let tmac expire and dont resign scola/lowry... we have 13mil to play around with right? just checking. we could probably even do 15-16 and do a trade by deadline to get under the cap

Does this affect us having cap room to resign Scola and Lowry if we make the deal though?

I think it's only around 11 million even if we don't resign Scola and Lowry.

No. I don't think so. They are our own players. The rockets can be over the cap to sign them.

Is there a reason why Bimathug's informational post about free agency is not stickied?

Um ... cap room isn't so important ... which FA would want to play on the Rockets??
