    Its okay, a lot of people go through the gambling phase...It's the people that stay in it that are screwed.

    A year ago I was really into poker... lost $1000 over the course of a month or so... I quit cold turkey and now I only play $5 games with friends occasionally. I realized I shouldn't play poker to make money, because I'm obviously not good enough to do that, but that I should just play poker for fun and recreation and mental stimulus. The sooner you realize that, the better.
