I think this is the most logical senario. Maybe a S&T for Swift/Walker, then use the MLE on Jarik/Simmons/Stoudamire/Daniels etc. We get rid of contracts we dont need, and pick up 2 quality players. V-Span isnt coming this summer, so I guess its safe to assume he will not be on the roster this season....whats up with him? Does he want to stay in Europe, or come play with the big boys? Not a hard decision if you ask me. There has been no talk, at least in the paper, of us talking to AD. Anyone know something most of us dont? CD says ALL FAs want to come to Houston, but how come we keep hearing the same names over, and over, and over again?
One interesting thing about CD is he often pulled off trades that nobody expected. So I give a 50/50 shot that we acquire somebody this summer that nobody has even thought of.
I would not at all be suprised to see us possibly go in another direction with a SnT. I know that there are a couple of teams that in salary cap trouble, perhap we might pull a 3 team deal with one of them.
If we did pull off a sign and trade for a big man do you think that S Jasikevicius is worth the full MLE?
Jasikevicius is a great player, but definitely not worth the full MLE. He's not even a true pg, and he's undersized at the 2. He has a money shot though. Paying that kind of money is too much of a gamble.
