This is huge. Mack whiffed on Rhett Bomar last year, and did not sign a QB in '03. For those of you unfamiliar, Perrilloux is rated the #1 dual threat QB in the nation, by a number of national recruiting services. He's a rivals 5-star, and the Horns were in a close match with LSU for his services. Once Vince leaves, RP could potentially start for 3 years, assuming he redshirts as a freshman.

Nick Saban just got it in the pooper.

    I'll be nervous until February.

I doubt he wouldve considered us if Bomar signed with us last year.

    Fantastic news.

Wasn't Chrissy also the #1 rated QB when he came out of high school? Remind me again how many championships he led the horns to.

You guys have had luck with Louisiana QB's though, so I don't know.

Are you still upset about Rice's performance in the 04 cws? Oh, sorry.

Bob Johnson said Ryan has the strongest arm he's seen at camp over the last 6 years. That's elite 11 camp.

Screw it. This is one Texas Ex who couldn't care less who UT signs. Until Mack "Worst Gameday Coach in Longhorn History" Brown gets canned, it means that more great high school football talent will be wasted in a burnt orange jersey.

    Show me something, Mack. Finally.

I agree with RMT, but I really would rather have Perriloux than Bomar.

I can't wait until college football season starts!

He's the worst coach period. Notice how Chrissy maybe a starter this year in Tampa after one year of real coaching. Mac Brown has not developed anyone while at Texas. He is just a glorified recruiter.

Chris Simms won't be a starter this year, and Mack Brown wasn't his problem. Mack Brown didn't coach him to throw the ball to the other team in every big game he played in. I'm not going to defend Mack Brown because I'm out of that business after the debacle against Washington State, but he wasn't Simms's problem.

I lived on the football floor at the UT dorms and some of the guys even said he's just a politician.

So you stayed on the 2nd - 5th floors in Jester East, correct?

I think that even though the guys think he's a politician, they are all pretty fond of him as a coach. There would be alot of discontent among the players if he was fired. They've got it so easy right now. Practices are an absolute piece of cake.

When they start 2 a days in a couple of weeks, just check one out for yourself. There's guys loafing around all over the field. Bill Little is nibbling on Mack's ear. Greg Davis is generally confused. And the star players half ass it constantly. I was amazed to see Roy standing around laughing with his helmet off during most practices last season.

I read an article in which Mack says that everyone dwells on the losses to OU but not the wins. WTF? 1998 OU sucked. 1999 was Stoops first year. And neither of those wins were the two worst anal violations in the history of the rivalry. Then he says we can win the Big 12 without beating OU. This guy will never win a conference title. Ryan P is not signed and may not sign when the wheels come off. He got sold a bunch of junk. It's inevitable. Wazzou was just the start. Stoops choke against KSU may have saved the Horns in the long run.

Things could have gotten really ugly had we faced Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl. It could easily be another 40+ point loss. Anytime Texas plays a physical team, they fold.
