maybe I'm wrong, but I thought all the "don't remember" jokes were directed at that joke of a hearing, the Iran Contra stuff. All the political jokes I've heard make fun of him regarding that, not the altzheimers(sp?). Much like the Clinton sex jokes.
I don't understand why you would watch something that YOU feel is so biased. Could you not just turn off the television instead?? And it is little wonder that Jeff never posts much in here anymore...everything is so damn politically charged to the point that each poster is either a Democrat or a Republican or better yet liberal or conservative. If someone pulls up a story on the remains of Rutherford B Hayes or some other old President, I'm sure some of you will find the time to debate his gun control policy, taxation, religion, moral character, etc.
The difference here is the direct parallel. Everyone is saying how we should feel sorry for Reagan because he has this terrible disease and he's about to die. But where was his compassion and empathy for those in a very similar situation when he actually had the power to make a difference? When he does croak I won't be cheering but I'll be damned if I'm gonna mourn for him either.
It's a republican response to turn off any information sources that don't support your point of view. It's perfectly natural since the truth really does hurt, and the children of prosperity aren't used to pain. It's a citizen's response to monitor what the government is doing. It's called representative democracy. It's a funny term for people who believe that everyone should just button up and go along with everything the administration says as long was we are in a war situation. War would imply that we have some kind of serious opposition. 3 weeks to take over a country is known as a dominating victory. It's about the same amount of time it took a certain european country to take over another european country during the early stages of WWII. Oh ****ing no, now you'll play the nazi card against me! I'm not democrat, I'm not Republican. I simply seek to employ the lesser of two evils in any given election. Now you'll come up with a lot of BS stating why I'm wrong and how I don't have a clue what I'm talking about, while I post that you were never in the military and need to shut the **** up about the war in the first place since everything you know came from watching reruns of Chuck Norris movies and Navy SEALS. CNN can't even straighten out the difference betwen a division and a brigade and you trust them as your unbiased news source. Can I get a shut the **** up? I would ask for an amen but I'm not religious so it wouldn't fit very well. Are you done yet? If you aren't I have a hell of a lot more ammunition than you have body armor to defend it.(In a literal sense)

Well, outlaw, I am sorry that you have such a grudge against Reagan. I just find it depressing to see a thread that was just a damn rumor denigrate into a pissing contest because of an insensitive joke, but I guess that is just me feeling like that.
