When did they announce they were gonna release a 70 gig hard drive for the 360? I never heard this before. Does anyone know more about this?
I don't think it has been officially announced, but most people are assuming that to be the case based on the following picture (and other things too probably): http://www.flickr.com/photos/rhoran/291246264/in/set-72157594364544798/ That was taken during the event where MS announced the whole TV/movies on XBL thing. Even if that pic wasn't taken, it would be difficult to support this with just a 20GB HDD. Probably just internet gossip, and I doubt it will happen. Again, there was apparently a rumor started by the same site that said Halo 3 would be out within the next week...but it was just announced that the public beta for Halo 3 won't be ready until next spring. So um...yeah.
It's on Amazon right now for voting. You get to vote for which deal you would want, and the $100 XBox 360 Core is one of the choices. If it wins, 1000 of these will be sold for $100 at 11:00 AM PST on Thanksgiving Day. I'll at least log on, but I'd expect it would be hard to get.

You just said why they would do it.. Not only defeat for Ps3 but proably for Wii too... Think about they sell all there xbox 360's and see all the revenues generated from game sales..
well I was going to skip next gen consoles for a couple of years, but for the next gen console I like best at the moment for a hundred bucks, it's worth a shot ... probly be shut out though.

Wow. I was going to do my usual game console buying habit: wait 2 years after it's released, where the price has dropped as low as it's going to go, and all the good games are 'best sellers' which only cost $20. I'd rather get a PS3, but for $100 it's so worth it. Though getting in on this deal may be harder than winning the lottery.

nope, dont think its gonna be easy at all, but i'll be there to try i honestly don't expect to get one, but hey i didn't expect to luck out with tickets to last year's rose bowl and yet it happened. good luck to everyone out there on amazon at 10am thanksgiving morn
