I know his stats were good but HOF good? I don't think Rudy was ever a top 5 or even top 10 player in his era and ever came close to being a MVP. I doubt Rudy would be selected in as a player.

even if rudy t never coached at all he would still be a first ballot hall of fame. he was pretty darn good back in the day.

if robert "wake me up when the post-season starts" horry even gets nominated than im world b free. dude slept his way thru his career. if he consistently played the way he played in the post season than it might be different.

If this was true, he would have already been elected to the HOF in the 80s when he was eligible.

No way Rudy was a 1st ballot HOF player!

Parish's career stats were better than Rudy, he also made more All-Stars than Rudy, he actually was selected as One of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History (Rudy didn't) and won rings (Rudy didn't).

Even still Parish wasn't 1st ballot.

Get that Spur's crap outta here. What do you think 4-1 Lakers over Spurs next round? Ahhh.... maybe 4-2.

roll your eyes all you want:

Holds an NBA record for steals in a single game in the NBA finals with seven (June 9, 1995 @ Orlando).

Won two NBA championships while with the Houston Rockets.

Made seven consecutive 3-pt field goals against Utah in the second round of the 1997 playoffs to establish a new NBA record.

One of two players in SEC history to block 100+ shots in a season (121), along with Shaquille O'Neal.

Holds a Houston record with 9 three-pointers made in a game against Cleveleand on Feb 22, 1996.

    6 rings...

He might not be HOF worthy, but don't act like he is a scrub.

    Um, No.

They enter the HOF as a player, coach, or "contributor" (i.e. Chick Hearn).

When you enter as a player only your playing career is looked at, vice versa with coaching.

allow me to put this horry HOF thing in perspective

will the lakers retire horry's jersey?

    how about houston?

the answer for both is hell naaw. now, if the teams he's played for wouldn't even think about retiring his jersey what do you think the odds are of horry being enshrined as one of the greats of all time?

    zero.

Are these people serious? Horry a hall-of-famer?

Apparently some of the people that voted that Harlem Globetrotter into the Hall of Fame this year over Guy V. Lewis post here

I think there's a rule: if the fans booed your selection on draft day because they wanted Harold Miner, then you can't be in the hall. Horry's a good player with sentimental value, but cummon, let's not be .. . . I can't think of the appropriate word . . . . dammit, it's coming. . . lets not be crazy. I'll leave it at that.

Is Sean elliott a hall of famer? We were one physical exam away from trading Horry for Mr. Taco Cabana.

Chuckie Brown will be in the HOF before Robert Horry.
