Would the Rockets REALLY fire Rudy?

  1. Yes, why not?!

  2. No, Rudy would be 'promoted' and CD would probably 'retire.'

(I thought this was a simple enough question. My bad!)

This is for all you titty babies out there!

Can you EVER see the Rockets firing Rudy or CD, or would they be 'promoted' as part of 'reorgainzation?'

    JEEZ!!!

    This one should be unanimous.

Now if you rephrased the question "Would YOU fire Rudy?" you'd get some interesting numbers.

Don't know if this is Rudy's last year(chance).
If there are no signs of improvement.....something drastic is going to happen with either the team or Rudy........injuries or not.
In my eyes, injuries can be used as an excuse for losing games, but not playing TERRIBLE, UNORGANIZED basketball for an ENTIRE season.

Neither A nor B would ever happen. You need to add a C -- Rudy will coach as long as he wants to. That's the reality, and the way it should be.

I tend to agree with Freak...while I do think that he will be held accountable for another horrid season (assuming we dont have the injury problems we had this year), I truly believe he is one of the last "players" coaches left in the game and believe it or not, guys want to play for Rudy

Next year IS the money year, with new stadium seating needed to be sold and all. If my beloved Rockets don't at least make the first-round, Les will be affected financially and Rudy will take the fall.

Hypothetically speaking, if Rudy where let go, were to step down, or was reasigned, who would replace him? Coaches that are out there right now are Dunleavy, Fratello, Carlesimo, and Van Gundy. Personally, I think Dunleavy would be good for Houston. He's got a good track record of making the playoffs and since this team doesn't have all the misfits that Portland does, he could do a good job here. It would be interesting if Jr. ended up here with his as well. Van Gundy, I think, could really improve the teams overall defense. Of course, we know that his style of play leads to an even more boring offense than ours already is. I'd like to hear other people's ideas on what coaches are out there and what they could do with the Rockets.

I would like Rick Adelman, certainly one of the most underrated coaches around. But he's spoken for, of course.

This is a stupid poll (sorry!), you should have the "c", Should Rudy continue to coach the Rockets? And how about "d", Should Les hire some more assistant coaches like Dallas has? (He should) :)

Hell, Murf would make a great assistant coach! But who would sit next to Bill and crack me up?
