I'm sick of the Rockets having to squeak out close wins against bad teams. With Steve in the lineup, the Rockets are an above-500 team, and it's time to play like it against the much lower competition of the Warriors. Just once this season, I would like to see the Rockets blow out a bad team. Play up to your potential Rockets, PLEASE! I will be happy with a win, but not completely satisfied unless the Rockets win by 15 or more.
With Steve we are a 500 team, perhaps a bit better, but we are not an elite team (perhaps in the future). Squeaking out wins against crappy teams is our potential. I think that is why we are a 500 team. I we could't win those we would be part of the dreggs. If we always won them, and did so easily, we would be a 500+ team and a playoff contender.
They are playing at home, but I doubt anyone will show up since its the warriors. I would love to see the Rockets blow someone out. Its been a while, and damn its a great feeling.
We're better than .500 with everyone healthy. Our team without Glen Rice and Mo Taylor is worse than 500. You may hate them, but at the very least, you have a bench when they're available. Remember, we didn't have Mo Taylor this season, and Rice was injured and Cat's ankles were sore for 15 games or so.
At least I'm watching, even if it's mostly for player development and ping pong balls. I'd like to see Griffy do well, build a 20 pt halftime lead, and then Rudy rest Steve and Cat and the Rox blow it by 1
I predict the Rockets win on a 3 pointer in the final seconds. While a rout sounds nice, it most likely will not happen, as the Rockets games with the Warriors (or really every team for that matter) always seem to come down to big shots in the final minute, like past games vs the Warriors, such as the two games where Moochie hit buzzer-beating 3's, and the Mobley 3 in the 2nd game of his rookie season.
Unbelievable. I just can't believe this crap. The Warriors lose 20 of 21 on the road, and they waltz right into Compaq Center and win in a rout. Jeff? Cat? What's the excuse for this one? I am getting so sick of seeing this team barely lose to a 40-16 team on the road, only to be blown out by a 16-40 team at home. This has to fall on Rudy for not properly preparing his players, because the Rockets have lost almost every game this season against sub-500 competition. Can someone tell me what Rudy was thinking? Steve Francis scored 14 points in a row, only to be benched! Thanks for cooling the guy down Rudy! Please, just let this nightmare season end.
As I just posted in another thread, Rudy didn't bench him. Francis needed to go to the bathroom, so he ran off the court.
I guess at times like these, all you can do is laugh. *sits with a blank expression on his face, staring at the computer monitor*
Oh! Really? I was at the game and I saw Francis run off the court. I thought he got his headache back or something, but then maybe I was wrong. Man! Was he hot in the end of the 3rd?
Members on this board must understand that Mo Taylor nor Glen Rice will get this team into good positions to win because at their positions, they're probably the worse defenders in the league which is the crux of the problem. This team can't defend, thus they can't win consistently. Sure there are games when they hit half of those stupid ass 3's they shoot and everyone basks in the glow, but more times than not, they shoot under the league avg, and let their opponets score at will. To allow a team to score and rebound like the warriors did is beyond reason. Yes the Warriors have some potetially good offensive players if you let them flow like last night. This Rockets team is the worse defensively that i can remember in a while. They approach offensive players with their hands down and don't even put in the effort to try to defend which irks me. Teams like Dallas, Milw , and Sac can outscore most people something we can't do because we don't push or share the ball like those teams. If we just defend and act like we're playing defense, then games like this wouldn't happen. I know I'll see I wish we had Taylor or Rice response soon, but neither would have helped the team tonight.
