no way i logged in there at 12 and tried to get tickets and all they had were the 250 and above seats
Are you sure there $50 during reg. season.....i think there more than that but $105 for 2nd round vs lakers....isnt a bad price if you ask me BEAT L.A.
I am a mini season holder for the last 4 seasons. I got the email that allowed me to get tickets at 10:00am. I was going to a funeral and there was no way I could get online. I called my sales rep and was told that there was nothing he could do, that tickets could only be bought online. I'm not too happy.
Houston Rockets fans are invited to Toyota Center on Sunday, May 3 at 12:30pm for a FREE 'Send Off Rally' to celebrate the team’s berth into the Western Conference Semifinals and support the team as they leave for Los Angeles. All Houston Rockets players will be in attendance, along with performances from the Rockets Power Dancers, Clutch and Launch Crew. Rockets fans are encouraged to wear red, create posters, and paint their face to show the team that Rockets fans believe in them in their upcoming series against the Lakers! Fans who are interested in purchasing 2009-2010 season tickets will also be able to come into Toyota Center to look at specific seat locations. Anyone who purchases 2009-2010 season tickets will be able to buy tickets for the Rockets vs. Lakers playoff series this year. The Houston Rockets will begin the series against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles. Since some were wondering where all the tickets went....there are some left as you can tell by reading above.
When I finally got online (about 11:30 am) there were only very expensive seats. I watched on the news where fans at noon where buying $18 tickets from the Toyota Center. The Rockets are playing games with there ticket sales. You would think an "Insider" would have the opportunity to buy those tickets first, if there were still available. Another thing, some of those guys buying tickets looked like "street" people. This is a common practice for ticket agencys to hire people to buy tickets. Last night, I noticed no tickets available through rockets.com, but a few very expensive singe seats through my package holder email. Tickets are being held for potential new season ticket holders, so I have a feeling tickets may be released on game day.
Watch this video from ABC 13. They show the ticket lady saying $18 for Friday night & $55 for Sunday. On my email, the site shows $55 as the cheapest tickets for any game. http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/video?id=6791817
I was watching the ABC13.com video of Rocket fans buying tickets. The first 3 men were wearing the same Rockets playoff t-shirts and all 3 had the exact same caps. The funny thing is that you could see them wearing these shirts over other shirts (kind of hot this time of day). I noticed they paid with a stack of hundreds and not any credit cards. I'm almost sure they were paid to wait in line and buy tickets for some ticket agency. A lot of times the ticket companies will get guys right off the street, probably give them a shirt to be more presentable and give them the cash to buy every ticket they can get.
