If everyone's completely healthy, I see the 9-man rotation being:

    PG: Francis(28)/Norris(20)
    SG: Mobley(38)/Francis(10)
    SF: Kenny(25)/ Rice(23)
    PF: Griffin(26)/ Taylor(22)
    C: Ming (25) /Cato (20)/Taylor(3)

Brown will probably only play garbage minutes, or if there's an injury in the backcourt.

Morris/Nachbar will get garbage minutes and possibly 5-8 non-garbage minutes on occasion.

I think Collier, Torres and ??? will be on the IR.

I think Torres will get around 10-12 minutes and Steve and Cat will get more like 32-38.

I don't think there is any question. He has demonstrated in camp that he should be the starter. He's been really impressive. I've been surprised that, at 20, he has made this much progress, but there is no question he is the best guy at the four currently on the roster.

Good analysis Jeff. Thanks for the insight. Glad to hear that Eddie is looking better and better. I too think that our frontcourt is strong and will be one of the better ones in the league as they begin to really gel.

Do you really think EG will start after MT gets in better shape? Not that it matters, both will get plenty of PT.

I think a big factor is how each messes with Yao Ming. If Yao Ming is the starter and MT's outside shooting ability allows better spacing, then I would think that MT would be a better choice to jump out of the blocks. Hopefully they all mesh well!

Awesome...i actually think this will be the best move for the Rox...think about it...if Mo T continues his routine of getting off to a fast start, his fast start will be a good end to the 1st qtr, beginning of the 2nd...etc instead of starting the game off hot and dissappearing. Thats good news.

    NJR,

That may be true, they both will get plenty of PT. MT hasn't shown that tendency to fade, and we have enough players to get him out and put in a fresh PF.

Corliss was so NOT a 6 rpg player? He's lifetime 4.2. Corliss is reknowned for no defense and no rebounding. Your lazy stat check exemplies why Corliss to Kenny comparisons are lazy. If you want to say they both could be 6th Man of the Yr and they both played PF in college, fine...but that is where the comparison ends.

There are many NCAA PFs who couldn't really play PF in the NBA. imo, Fox and Corliss are not really NBA tweeners, because they can't play PF.

imo, Kenny is the real-deal tweener. The guy who can actually play defense and offense in two NBA positions. Kenny is rare.

Kenny's rebounding is already incomparable, and you will come to realize soon enough that Kenny's defense is incomparable...very incomparable. And those two factors are why Corliss is a bad tweener who must play the Instant Offense role off the bench, as a small forward.

Corliss can play PF. I've seen him play PF. I've seen him school PF's. He can play PF.

Don't you think you're getting a little too high on the Kenny guy?

Can play Defense and Offense at 2 positions? No matter how good his footwork is, he gives up something like an average of 3 inches to other PF's. In the West, it may even be 4.

He's the real deal tweener. Too short for the 4, and not enough speed for the 3. Remember, speed and quickness are 2 different things. If Kenny plays the 3, we'd have a poor outside-shooting starting line-up. Griffin is our man at the 4. Unless KT works EXTENSIVELY on his range lateral quickness, I wouldn't consider him our solution at the 3.

Unless we can get rid of MoT, KT is a goner. Who would take MoT off our hands?

Sane, nobody is going anywhere. The entire league respects KT jumpshot which is partly why his drives are so lethal. While the league respects his jumpshot, people here continue to list it as a weakness. Absolutely ridiculous. In addition that is a small part of his game. I do believe that if someone leave KT to double, KT can make them pay with his jumpshot. The principal reason for him playing 3 is that he will almost always have post advantage offensively and bring a ruggedness to this traditionally finesse position on defense.
