    PG:
Steve-You have to admit he's our best player(Top5 PG), whether you like him or not. Desperately wants to win, go to the playoffs, even if means being traded(according to Troy & Doc) It sounded pretty certain before the draft that Steve will sign an extension, and looks like he still will.
Moochie-We paid too much for him, but he's almost definitely staying also, right? Fan-favorite, makes big shots, dribbles too much(really all his fault)
Tierre-I personally wish he stayed, but I doubt we'll have room

    SG:
Cuttino-Pisses off alot of people on here, but is part of our nucleus, top 10 SG, has a low salary, and pretty much untouchable
Oscar-Showed flashes but struggled off the bench, I guess we'll keep him as an emergency if we can't get a 3 we like that can play 2/3

    SF:
Walt-Most likely gone, one of few vets we have
Langhi-Almost left in middle of last season, although played better than TMo when getting the time, pretty sure he's gone as well
TMo-Ugly shots, didn't seem motivated, probably still here but sucked it up
Rice-Injured, too big contract, who knows???

    PF:
Eddie-3rd part of our current nucleus, rumor is he's been developing body and game
MoT-Rumors of huge weight gain, but sounds like he's getting into playing shape, been seen at Westside working out
KT-According to Doc not being traded, but a very valuable asset, that can be traded on draft day if deal is right, Already have 2 good 4s, why not trade for a 3

    Center:
Cato-Overpaid, showed improvement last year which is often forgotten because of previous dismal season, still have faith in him, will start until Yao EARNS his spot
Collier-Goodbye, seems like nice guy but bad player(Sorry The Cat)
Willis-Gone, wanted to go in mid-season to a contender but was not traded

    New Additions-
Ming-Almost definite draft unless big fallout which is unlikely
#15-Nachbar, Stoudemire, Prince, Woods....Could get a good player
#37-Does it really matter, would we even have space to keep him

There are 15 spots, 12 dress out and 3 on IR
Who is going to be here next year
    1.Steve 2.Mooch 3.Cat 4.Eddie 5.Cato 6.MoT 7.KT 8.Rice 9.Ming 10.#15 11.OT 12.TMo 13.??? 14.??? 15.???

I Know ROCKET!!! said alot of players are going to be gone, but I doub that will happen. Any insiders, any conjectures???

Collier is going to be on the team unless we can include him in a trade. He is under contract and as long as we are paying him we might as well keep him on the team somewhere

I really hope Tierre finds a spot in the NBA

he's a nice guy and a better shooter than he got a chance to show

    Did I say Save Tierre...
Yeah I really like his game, he actually ran the offense and pushed the other players up...controlling the tempo...yeah it got frenetic some times and yeah he made rookie mistakes but we should keep him...I know he can shoot decent as well as having really nice passes and handles...well he's still working out at Westside so maybe they'll keep him anyways...Mooch is a good player but he costs too much and I don't think he can get much better

    A slight correction.

These 10 players are already contracted for 2002-2003:
    1.Steve 2.Mooch 3.Cat 4.Eddie 5.Cato 6.MoT 7.KT 8.Rice 9.TMo 10.Collier

Ming & #15 are guaranteed contracts. The total is then 12.

Torres, Willis, the second rounder(s) and an MCE player will be the basic candidates for the remaining 3 spots.

    Thanks for clearing that up.

Torres, Willis, the second rounder(s) and an MCE player will be the basic candidates for the remaining 3 spots.

Would TMo be fighting for a position than, or does he have a contract for this year. I'm pretty sure they'll give him another chance anyways. What exactly is a MCE player. Midlevel cap exception???

I wouldn't pencil Willis in just yet.

Here's how I see the roster (assuming no trades):
    1.) Francis
    2.) Mobley
    3.) Rice
    4.) Moochie
    5.) Morris
    6.) Griffin
    7.) Taylor
    8.) Thomas
    9.) Cato
    10.) Ming (#1 pick)
    11.) #15 pick
    12.) #37 pick

    13.) Collier
    14.) ?
    15.) ?

I think 14/15 would be dependent on how we draft. I'm not sure we'd bring in any other centers, because it must be taken into consideration that we have 3 centers on the roster, 2 with a long term future (Cato/Ming, at least in terms of contract length) and Griffin/MoT have the ability to play some C. I see us getting a 3 with #15, and then you basically have filled out your roster-Perhaps go for a backup 2, or a 3rd string PG at 37, and a couple veterans at any position for the final slots.
