I'm in a bball 10 team H2H cat league with an autopick draft. My draft was too PF heavy. Please check out who i have (this isn't in draft order): Dwight Kidd P Gasol Z Randolph Boozer Love Landry My best SG eligable player was Jason Richardson, and SF was Deng. My roster is far too imbalanced. I picked up S Curry and Speights when waivers were cleared 2 days into the league. What really sucks are the other owners are really stingy. That, or I'm overvaluing my players. Anyway, i thought I'd try to Lebron and Terry for Dwight and Boozer. It was a long shot and I thoght i'd test the waters and hopefully rip him off. of course it didn't work. I've tried other trades such as Melo and a scrub for Dwight and Boozer. Anyway, what do you think is attainable if i trade Dwight and Boozer? I've proposed the following just a few mins ago: Dwight Boozer Deng for G wallace Ellis Josh Smith Am i over paying to get rid of my imbalance? My team is last in PTS and is very weak in assists and steals. All 3 players will help me improve in PTS and STLs, not to mention that Wallace and J-Smoove will help in the areas i lose from trading dwight. What other players are acquirable for Dwight and Boozer. Maybe like 2 for one.
In my opinion, the trade you proposed is better for you. Dwight is the best player, Deng is the worst, while Boozer is somewhere in between. Ellis, Wallce, and Smith are all better than Boozer in my opinion, and they will definetly make up for the loss of Dwight.
Gotta choose the player you absolutely want to keep or have the mindset that your best players are probably your best trade assets. I would probably... Trade Dwight and/or Boozer. The main reason for Dwight is because he's a big name guy and people tend to like trades that give them beasts in return but also a popular player. I'd keep Gasol and Randolph, they could keep up the rebounds you'll lose from trading Dwight but will probably lack BLKs slightly depending on who you get in return. Also for keeping Gasol and Randolph, they have great FT%s, and this helps a ton in head-to-head scoring formats. Just remember when looking at your team as a whole for head-to-head scoring, balance your team, attack as many categories as possible, and be sure to have enough player with multiple position eligibility; so if a player gets hurt, you'd have a reliable backup in that position. Cause in a 12 team league, teams aren't as deep and the waiver wire is usually garbage/players who are one-dimensional. And if you're having trouble finding a trading partner, start from the worst teams up; or you can send out a league e-mail saying "I want to deal Dwight, I'll take the best offer." Usually this puts teams in a panic and/or gives them the opportunity to upgrade their team, but then team owners will try to scrap up a deal knowing that the whole league knows Dwight is on the block and may be moved soon. This is my longest post ever, I should be a fantasy analyst.
