The Grand Kenyon, hes the most polished rookie of his class. but in the end swift, miles, or stevenson might become better than he

I got a feeling it might be Joel Pryzbilla.

Man, would that make you sick or what?

Pryzbilla isn't even good enough to start over Ervin Johnson. That should tell you something. I have a feeling he may be the bust of this draft. Realistically, I think it's going to be Kenyon Martin. He's the one top player in the perfect situation to perform immediately.

I agree with FrancisFan, none of these rookies can compare to the incredible talent that is Jason Collier [IMG]

    Seriously....

I think the ROY will probably go to Kenyon Martin. I'm not sure how Chicago is gonna play him, but I think Marcus Fizer has a shot too.

If he gets enough minutes, I'll put my money on Darius Miles. I base this on his performance in the preseason so far.

It'll be an interesting race for ROY this year, there just doesn't appear to be a clear cut favourite and any number of players could win, given the right set of circumstances.

Kenyon Martin and Stromile Swift should both be starters and both players will put up numbers - it SEEMS that Martin has it easier with Swift having to battle the bevy of bonafide Western Confernce Power Forwards - but maybe Swift will thrive on the competition.

Chris Mihm could well be a surprise packet. If he gets significant PT it'll be because he deserves it and because he's playing well - or because Ilgauskas' feet fell off again. Either way he'll have a great chance playing for a depleted Cav's team. Let's face it, nobody else is going to be battling him for the boards!

In Toronto Morris Peterson might be the surprise packet. He's got a great chance to secure a great 6th man role playing at both SF and SG and if he manages to get some confidence going with his stroke then anything could happen. His consistent improvement every year of his college career is a good sign (as is the national title sitting on his shelf that he was the primary driving force behind!).

And surely either Miles or Richardson are going to get a chance to sign with the hapless Clippers!!

Let the race begin! I guess I'll tip Martin to win, but I'll be rooting for Peterson to trigger the upset!

Hey, the grizz and nets/bulls should trade their picks. The bulls wanted a sf and not a pf so they could take swift and the grizz need a four more than a three. and the nets can use a three or four(van horn can play either spot but probably more effectively at hte 4). But the grizz love swift so i dont see it happening.

Martin, simply because his team has the best chance of improving and actually making the playoffs.

    Definitely Kenyon.

Does anybody remember that if the fourth ball read 06 instead of 10, then the Rockets would have had the #1 pick?

    *Sigh*

I don't really keep up with college ball, but isn't Swift a PF?

Rahim starts at the PF and Swift has been playing mostly SF thus far.

    Thanks HOOP-T [IMG]

I thought they were starting Rahim at SF. I guess that says something about the versatility of both Abdur-Rahim and Swift though, cause I guess that they could both play well in either forward position.

With Vancouver's injuries, Othella started at PF the other night and had 19 points and 10 boards....YOU GO OTHELLA!

I will admit to not seeing a Grizz game this year, but can comeone explain how they derived Swift as the SF and Rahim as the PF? Was this the case last year - Othella was the SF and Rahim was the PF? When they D the Rockets does Rahim take Mo and Stromile defend Walt? I'm gonna need clarification 'cause I just don't see it.

Back to the thread - Kenyon Martin will be ROY (unless injured) because NJ's in the East.

I'm going to go out on a limb and go with our good friend, Courtney Alexander. Even though he hasn't had a stellar preseason (Although apparently we can tell wondrous things from preseason according to the BBS), if he can adjust to the NBA game quickly, I think he was a steal for the Mavericks.
