I posted a link to this article in two other threads, but I think it deserves a thread of its own.

"It's sore," Artest said. "It hurts. I can't really play the way I want to play. I know it will eventually get better as long as I don't roll it again or tweak it or come down on somebody's foot?"

So how often does that happen?

    "Oh, every night," Artest said.

With Battier back, should we give Ron some time off when we get into a softer part of our schedule?

Or give him time off when T-Mac comes back?

I get the feeling that Ron's the type of guy who will run his ankle into powder if he's allowed to. Hopefully the medical staff can stay on top of it.

I don't think Ron is that stupid. He doesn't need some medical staff to tell him what's going to work for his ankle and what won't, he's a smart dude.

I say give him whatever time off he needs once McGrady gets back. If it's really hurting, give him some time off now. A sprained/twisted/sore ankle is definitely something that won't get better by playing on it, I don't care what any doctor says.

I really think last nights game against the Warriors showed that Artest is getting better going strong to the rim. I don't know anything about ankle injuries so I don't know if you can heal without proper rest. I just hope he can lead this team this season. T-mac doesn't want that responsibility so it should be Rons.

hopefully once ron heals up, he'll regain the form we saw from him in the beginning of the season (i.e. the dallas game)

however, i don't know if he will cause tmac's being a poon about his injuries.

    Quoted from the blog:

"Just wondering if there is ever an occasion where you miss taking a shot at Tracy McGrady.

No reason to call him "Dr. Tracy McGrady".

Your story was real straight-forward and would have been just as solid imo if you'd leave your own axes-to-grind out of them.

Anyway, just my opinion. Have a happy holidays!

    [No. --Fran]"

    LOL!!

Better to give Ron sometime to rest, but question still on, can Yao lead us win more when Tmac and Ron both out

Definately not. Without TMac or Ron teams would triple team Yao and we would have to depend on guys like Rafer.

Does anyone have a picture of Ron's ankle? I heard that it is swollen to twice its size.

That puzzled me a lot, on one side we want all our players healthy when playoffs period, on the other side in order to make ourselves into the playoffs we need to win more, this season western league is competive than ever. Hope our role players do more help, just like last game Von Wafer did.

it's very obvious to me that the sprained ankle hurts badly. Ron seldom smiles in the last few games and he's been walking/running in an akward way. he is really fighting, i appreciate that but hope his mins can be limited and to be taken good care of.
