Terry wasn't his man, he was in the process of finding Harden. That was on Monta for not getting back.

I'm pretty sure Rondo and Kobe would be ok.
Seeing as how they already met and talked etc during the season, I'm sure they've discussed playing together and how that'd work. Plus Kobe is most likely there for only one more season. I see no better fit for Rondo than the Lakers(and that's not a positive for the Lakers).

That's the nail in the coffin. No chance of reconciliation.

Welp, now Harden shouldn't even have a bit of trouble.

Damn...playoff Rondo was our secret weapon. He was like our Littlefinger.

And it's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard a coach say. How can you say something like that in the middle of a playoff run? In a million years, you would never think to say something like that- you would say, "Not really sure, we'll have to see in the offseason." It puts Cuban in a bad situation and it makes it really seem like you are lying about the back injury. Carlisle is an example of a coach who wears out his welcome at places (this is why Detroit let him go after he led them to a division title - never understood why, but now I get it), so it's going to be best if Carlisle leaves after this season.

Well given that Rondo is a detriment to their team and he's said that he'll only go back if they fire the coach.....I think his comments are fair. There's no reason to sugarcoat things when talking about the team destroying headcase that is Rondo.

I hate that Rondo has been ruled out for the series. Dallas played much worse when he was on the court and he was a chemistry killer in the locker room. I hope the release of Rondo doesn't turn into a rallying point for the Mavericks.

Nope, not the same thing. The first is based on a "report"- that's not Rondo saying it directly. Then again, Rudy did the same thing with Maxwell in 1995- so I suppose he feels like it had to be said. I'm just always of the opinion that you don't say things like that - especially when the back injury thing is in play. It makes the organization seem disingenuous. But then again, it's the Mavs, so whatever misery they have is music to my ears.

It could be a rallying point- for one game. But that's it. Dirk and Ellis don't have the horses to help them rally back. They might take 1 game on inspiration, but I seriously doubt this one goes more than 5- and I hate saying that, but they just don't have enough firepower.
