    just a suggestion
Obviously ron artest cant help himself but to take some wild jumpers and one on five drives every game, he just have to take them for whatever reason, he wont stop shooting if hes not satisfy, more importantly, wont pass the ball to the inside.he cant control himself, coach n teammates cant control him, thats just the way he is, thats the way God built him...
so, a solution is, put ron in n let him play with bench players from both teams, like the 2nd quarter.that way he can take 4-5 wild shots, against opponents bad defense since they r 2nd units, when yao n scola n battier are resting..at the same time give us a scoring spark in the 2nd quarter
when yao comes back into the game, espeically in the 4th quarter, ron is not gona be as fired up mentally n somewhat tired, he wont try to create offense himself, the a little tired artest is gona be more logical, he wont try to create offense for himself, instead plays r gona run through Yao and Scola,in return artest is gona get open looks to shoot the 3, u know how much he loves to shoot 3pters this season :) :)

This isnt the night to make such a thread. He passed the ball all day long, barely shot the ball for Artest standards.

yeah ron did take maybe one shot or two that was questionable but thats nothing to pick at. He did a much better job tonight compared to other games. As far as efficient, he wasn't too bad either if I can remember right. No need to take the man down.

Or maybe, this is the time to make this thread, because it wouldn't be called a knee-jerk reaction thread :)

    Good point.

I like the way he played tonight. I think Adelman got on his ass.

Regardless of the timing of this thread OP has a valid point... let Ron get the chucking and 1v5 out of his system early in the game against the other teams' scrubs. Then we'll have a more agreeable and 'tranquilized' Ron in the 4th who'll be tired and more willing to play within the offense.

Artest has so many holes in his game it's no joke. Did you see him try to run those breaks on those two steals, his handle is so suspect and you know he wasn't giving up the ball for fear of a TO. Glad he made the FTs, he's not great at that either. Giving him a 4 or 5 year deal for 10M plus would be a serious mistake.

If Ron continue to do like him vs Lakers, he'd become another T-Mac.

If Ron can share balls with the rockets,he'd be L-James in ROX.

    T-Mac?L-James? just Ron can decide.

I am pretty "happy" with ron's shot selection because I am just representing that right now.

Hint: check out the red little bar below my name left hand side :D

    Become another T-Mac?

What's wrong with that? You people don't seemed to watch last seasons games.

Just remember that in last few years you wouldn't see p of the playoffs if it wasn't for T-Mac.

I'm not defending him nor I love him so much but people are going over the line with this bandwagoning.

He is freaking 270lbs!!! He made the right decision in both of those instances.

If the other team does not stop the ball, you take it all the way every time.
Atleast his hole is not defense(which is half of basketball). I remember paying a guy 23 million to not do that.....

we would be a champion contender if he does more post-ups and breakthroughs.

    POINT PROVEN

If he takes less shots and passes the ball

    WE WIN!

    Wrong.

It is not about taking less shots, It is about taking the right shots. He needs to continue to stay agressive and unpredictable, while at the same time not worrying about trying to take over. His defense is so fantastic that he needs to realise his impact on the game is high, regardless of his offense...

It's hard to define whether the rights he takes are right or wrong. He can't even hit wide open shots if he has used up his fuel in defense. Ron is just like a double edged sword, if we use him too much in defense then the downfall will be his bad FG% on the other end, or it is also true the other way around. If I were Rick I would assign Battier to glue the no.1 scorer of our opponent team, only letting Ron play some help defense in addtion to shane, then Ron will contribute us much more than what he can do at the defensive end.

His full court drive off a steal isn't the prettiest thing in the world, but he's strong like LBJ and can get the foul while making his FT's. I'm pretty happy with that. Now if it becomes an automatic TO, then I'm sure Rick would jump on him.

As far as shot selection, consider it a small price to pay for his phenomenal defense! Look at Battier - another rough shooting night, but again smart defense. When we put Ron, Bat, and Scola our defense put the clamp on the Blazers.

    Great win Rox!

    I totally agree....

He has Cuttino Mobley-itis...where he thinks he is a lot better than he really is.....

Ron is a great competitor, but he is slow footed laterally, has crap handles, and is not as good on 1 on 1 defense as he is advertised.

He has lost more than a step, but makes up for it with physical play and competitiveness.

I honestly am on the fence about him, I kinda want him gone to open up more PT for Wafer.
