Good point there, If you were annoying him while he was eating then it would be much worse. If you were hassling him for his autograph at the Toyota Center, it wouldn't be a big deal since people do that all the time. But annoying him in a restaurant might be going to far.

its cool that he kept his word, but definitely sounds like you were bugging him. I dont know if i would have said "i'll come back when you're done eating", although polite, it sounds like you're going to be watching him until the second he's done eating....and when he's talking to a chick? If Ron would have dissed you i don't think we could blame him..
It doesn't have to be his wife reading. It could be someone else who knows his wife, and then told her about it. I agree this is not good man. Just say you meet Ron and here's the picture, that's it.
