I've got that feeling that these guys will be good NBA players. DOn't know how well they shoot, but they are legit 2 guards.

Athletic, scorers, defenders who can start this season.

I would like to see us draft Rodney Carney and consider what Ager could do for the team.

    TMac
    Howard/Swift
    Skip
    Carney

Carney could be great. At the very least, he'd be better than anyone we've got at guard right now. He's a lockdown defender with a good shooting stroke and mind-boggling athleticism. He's like Rudy Gay in that the major flaw people find in him are "intangibles," which can effectively be quantified as a lack of handles that prevents him from always taking advantage of his abilities. The question is, as a senior, will he ever actually develop those handles? If he's available at our pick, I still take him over Redick and Shelden Williams every time. JVG would probably do the same simply because of the quality of defender he is (he's locked down J.J. already, one-on-one).

Ager could be available in the 20s. He's not nearly as gifted as Carney, is shorter and doesn't have the same upside. Also, his worst-case scenario is no better than Carney's either.

Thanks, I asked because I didn't see either play this season.

I heard that Ager was an offensive machine with long arms and very athletic.

If Ager were to fall to us at 32, we should not hesitate to grab him in my opinion...

I didnt like Carney at first, but after seeing a play a bit more, he could fit. I'm just not sure he would be able to hit an outside shot consistently in a yr or 2. He also makes some boneheaded plays still.

No way Ager falls to 32. He is lighting quick and can stroke it; plus his defense is top notch. I would give up Luther for Ager straight up or trade our 2nd round pick + cash for somebody's pick in the early 20s. I really don't think he'll last past the mid 20s.
