Nice to see Garner get "Astros of the Game".

You'll never see many managing jobs like you did tonight.

    That is just SICK!

Too bad we had to waste so much of a headache on Dotel to start the year... but, maybe if he doesn't fail as much, he doesn't take all the pressure of Brad when he finally took the job (Brad was like, "I can't really do any worse...")

But man... he's probably gonna end up being my choice for MVP of the club this year. There's no way we're this good in the second half with anybody else closing.

Its amazing. Lidge is #15 in the NL in Ks (153), which is amazing considering he is a reliver. The next closest releiver is Gange with 115.

Anyone remember what Wagner's K per 9 inning record was?

Lidge is just unreal. That slider is straight up SICK. It must look just like a fastball coming in (hell it's about the same speed as a normal pitcher's!), then the bottom just drops out. Unfair.

Neyer just wrote a tidbit about it, and Lidge.... comparing the two. I'll find it and post it shortly.

Wow. I can't believe this team has won 90 games after being left for dead a few months ago.

    Whew !

    Just plain ole WHEW !!!

They played very sloppy ball, but all that matters is they came out on top.

    GO DODGERS !

    DD

PS. Anyone else think Lidge is harder to hit than Wagner?

I went for Wolf brand - hot with beans. The combination of the hot peppers and beans will create quite a delight later this evening.
