    My attempt at analysis
as usual, probably a long post

Ok, it seems that everyone is reacting (including myself at some points) over our team but I just wanted to point out the obvious.

    The Reason for fan frustration:

    DISCIPLINE and CONSISTENCY

What I feel is a legitimate reason for the above two:

We are the future, but still very young at present

The above may be an excuse, but I feel it is legit.

    Analysis
Fan Problem #1: Lack of Discipline
    synopsis:
Passing, staying within a set offense/running the play, not holding onto the ball longer than 5 seconds, looking for the open man. Essentially basketball fundamentals. Old habits are hard to break.
    solution:
Either get players who have the discipline (usually veterans) or allow the current crop to learn the hard way (usually losing).

Fan Problem #2: Lack of consistency
    synopsis:
Yes, there are those hardcore fans (hopefully ccneters) who will go to games despite the situation, but in regurgitation of past sentiments, a nice run should do wonders.
    solution:
Usually a good dose of discipline on the players parts to bring their best game to every team.

So we are essentially left with three choices for improvement, trade away current players who aren't helping the two problems listed, wait for the team to work out its problems. or a combination of the two. The only catch with waiting is that there is the risk of no improvement over time. However, if history holds true, we should BELIEVE in this team. There is simply too much room for improvement on too many players for all of them to not improve. We can easily over time find out the players who will deliver and trade away the rest.

I feel that Rudy could be a better coach, but I think he is doing a good job thus far. It seems he is taking the decision to both wait and see who the deliverers are and trade away those we don't need with time.

I had feelings similar to ZRB when we played the grizzlies, "This is the kind of game that the Rockets usually lose. They beat a great team, everyone is feeling good, then they expect an easy win to just come to them, and they lose on the road to a horrid team."

Having watched every game up to now, I feel that the loss to the grizzlies was tough (as Clutch said) but they played great. At the worst, I guess I'll agree with whoever said that at the worst Francis will come back and bite them in the butt the next time.

Memphis is a young team as well. You can't blame it on youth.

True, but I didn't attribute youth to the sole reason for this game's loss. We have also had stellar games against better teams (kings, spurs, etc.)
