Wow. Couldn't get a trade done. Mr. Dorsey is spared for another day.

Brent Barry's neighbor was right, after all. Everybody was giving him crap about Barry moving out of home.

So how does this affect their CAP?

Barry's salary has a much effect on the cap, as a drop of water in a desert.
The Rockets are still over the cap.

It was done to get the roster size to 15.

If we were going to drop BB then how come we just didn't keep Will Conroy?

Because when we still had Barry, we had 16 guys on the roster.. Cutting Barry gets us down to 15, the league maximum...

Yeah I wish we kept Conroy. I think that guy's got a future in the NBA.

I kind of feel sorry for Cook in a way.

How would you like knowing that the ONLY reason you are on the team is because the team is STUCK with you and would pretty much trade you for a used rubber if they could do it.

Hope he is investing his money wisely.

    Good luck Brent!

Sorry things didn't turn out the way we all thought.

    You make a great analyst!

Shocker. Watching him as a studio analyst on NBA TV while his team is in training camp was pretty funny.

I thought the Rockets would buy him out for lets say $1-$1.5 million; now we waived him his $2million salary will stick with us for luxury tax purposes; we could have waived Dorsey to leave a spot for Berry and try to trade his expiring contract later on. Waving Dorsey will only cost the Rockets $750K. Morey must be really high on Dorsey.

Fairwell Brent, we will remember you as the flashy passer who always connected with Brooks.

Sad, sad day. Could someone put together a video of all of the many great Brent Barry moments with the Rockets?
