I personally hate the uniforms and have since they changed it in 96. I think the pajamas with the stupid Rockets looks awful. Notice the Raptors got rid of their dumb cartoon looking Raptor in their uniform. I think with the new arena, the Rockets need to change their uniforms as well. When I think of their greatness, I see the red or white uniforms with the Rockets or Houston across the chest. The current uniforms are a joke.
Uniforms will change when Rockets make the move into the new arena. We've held out this long...another year or two won't kill us. Btw, the Sonics are going back to their old school logo. Old School

I saw that story about the Sonics...now the Pistons and the Sonics both are harkening back to their past with their current logos..though with some updates. It's like they realized all of a sudden..."maybe we could have just made a few minor changes to our traditional appearance without completely trashing it." I pray the Rockets do the same.
I was watching an old Nuggets game on ESPN and the first thing my girlfriend said was "Whose the 'gay pride' team." I laughed because that's the first thing I think of now when I see those god awful rainbow uniforms.
I just think if they remove the strips and takeoff the ball in the background, the unis might look pretty smooth.
I don't have a problem with the current logo, just the unis. I suggest they have solid white for home and solid navy for away. They can keep the same "Rockets" writing and put that on the jammies, but with the numbers below the team name not to the upper left.
I actually think something else than the current unis would look strange on Francis and the others. I´ve gotten very used to the current unis.
I say they go retro and where the short shorts (like Wilt) and wear the crew socks up to their knees.
The numbers on the front are too small, all i see is that big heavy logo. They should lose the logo, and put numbers in place of it. I like the stripes. Hey, what y'all think are the top 5 best and worst unis in the league?? and why
He's right! Then put the writing "ROCKETS" a little higher. And place the numbers big, under that. Can sombody simulate a fantasy rockets uni? like a pic or somethin?
I think they will change them the year they move into the new arena but they won't go back to red and gold. They probably will emphasize the red a little more and go to a different logo but the gold won't be returning. That color combination is about as out of style as you can get and the Rockets will no doubt hire someone very hip and modern to design the color scheme and logo. If I had to bet, I'd bet on a clean, linear logo like the Texans and a more simplistic uni with more red than blue. But that's just a wild guess. They could be fuscia and sage with matching turbans! Maybe not.
