Only way to lower prices is to suck again. This is what was bittersweet about being as good as we were last year and signing Howard. Prices go up.
Unless you're in a big media market like the Knicks who can raise prices and sellout no matter how the team sucks or not. It's better than being the Bobcats who can't even get fans to go for free even with buy one get one free deals and such.
It seems as though tickets throughout Toyota Center have gone up exponentially. Premium tickets, in particular in the East & West Club (Sections C105-C109 & C118-C122), I remember seeing single game tickets in the club the past few years that started at $110-$125/ticket. On the season ticket holder presale that was sent out they now range from $295-$395/ticket for non-premium games and $495-$600/ticket for premium games.
Suites increased quite a bit as well. Last suite I rented was in April of 2012. Party Suite 9 for 14 persons and it cost $1925 for the lowest tier game level (quality of opponent). This year, same suite, same amount of people, same tier level, $4200. No thanks.
play07 states that ticket prices were raised immediately after howard was signed, suggesting that the window for research and analysis you claim occurred was very short.
what a dam# ripoff!!! i am gonna just watch it on TV for free and find illegal streams of NBA league pass
Is anyone else an "insider" and not receive an email with a link to buy tickets today? I'm assuming that's what everyone got because anywhere else I look doesn't have the tickets available yet..
I'm just hoping that ticket buyers actually show up for the games. It looks bad when there are 6K - 8K empty seats at games.
I just purchased the Harden 13 plan. GAMES INCLUDED IN 13-GAME HARDEN PLAN: Wednesday, October 30 vs. Charlotte Monday, November 11 vs. Toronto Wednesday, November 27 vs. Atlanta Wednesday, December 4 vs. Phoenix Wednesday, December 18 vs. Chicago Monday, December 23 vs. Dallas Wednesday, January 8 vs. LA Lakers Thursday, January 16 vs. Oklahoma City Monday, January 20 vs. Portland Wednesday, February 12 vs. Washington Tuesday, March 4 vs. Miami Saturday, March 29 vs. LA Clippers Monday, April 14 vs. San Antonio I paid $740 for lower bowl seats ($1480 for 2 total seats) so about $56 a game and no convenience fees or tax added on when you purchase these plans. They said the premium games will be about $120 per ticket for games like the Heat, Lakers, Spurs, Thunder, etc. I also get priority seats for the Playoffs
I bought tickets to five games today, some through pre-sale and some resale through Flash Seats (yup, could be from some of you!). They are way more expensive than last year. I think I should start going to Rockets' road games instead, as going to Houston is a road trip for me anyway.
I got season tickets in 420 Row 5, was $660 ($15/game) last year, $748 ($17/game) when I renewed in March, and now its $836 ($19/game) after the Howard signing. After looking at the presale, in my same section/area, opener is going for $40, Premium game vs. Lakers/Nets go for $70, and nobody cares teams like the Kings is $33 So yea, if you end up going to like 20+ games, might as well get season tickets....
Just find a few buddies and split the games, it's alot more reasonable like that instead of you eating the whole season on your own. Tickets are muuuuch cheaper that way than buying individually.
Mine are $89 per, I bought two tickets for half-season plan with miami & indiana in it. Prices definitely went up, last year for some spot games through FlashSeats these cost 60-70.
