Just heard an interview with a reporter from Slam! Magazine, and he says that the Spurs mngmnt. told Robinson, and I quote," If you think you're getting anywhere near the same money as last year, you can pack your bags..." I'm sure he was paraphrasing, but that sentiment sounds more antagonistic than just the usual posturing/negotiating, and Robinson might seriously be on his way out...However, that might mean that San Antonio might sign Webber or Antonio Davis... ------------------
The Rockets might sign David Robinson as a last resort, but not before pursuing Jackson, Mohammed, etc.. I know Hakeem dominated Drob everytime the Rox played the Spurs, but come on!! DRob could offer us more right now than Hakeem can. Might not be a bad move. He actually fits with this team b/c we need a solid shot blocker/rebounder. He won't be demanding the ball. ------------------
i think alot of you guys are crazy on here... don't take David Robinson? come on... the guy is good. last resort to Nazr or Marc Jackson? are you serious? you'd rather take one of those guys rather than David? he's no Hakeem, but he's still one of the better centers in the league. i'd take him any day! ------------------

That may be true, but the Rockets are a young team just about done rebuilding. Why sign Drob when the Rockets can get a young up and coming guy in Jackson or Mohammed? Drob is good and all, but he just does not fit in with the Rockets anyway. He is well past his prime. But as I said, as a last resort, the Rockets should take a look at him.
