What are your personal Rockets Superstitions?

Everytime I go to a game, we win. I am 9-0 and usually the rockets go on a roll afterwards. BTW last night was my first rockets game this season. ;)

Ever since January since weve been winning ive refused to check the western standings, it can only bring bad luck.

I never check players personal stats because i believe checking into individual stats brings bad fortune for the TEAM.

I refuse to talk/be with/have any contact with my girlfriend on game days. Its just weird lol... Ill talk to her during the rockets game and all of a sudden the other team will go on a run. She went to the rockets-utah game 2 years ago and that was the game yao broke his foot. I was planning on taking her to a rockets game last year and yao broke his knee for that game. Ive never watched a game with her and the outcome was a victory. So.... yeah you see why i avoid her, she tends to get real mad though lol.

I keep my ticket stubs for good luck at home games i attend to.

I call my best friend before every rockets game for good luck.

    Any of yall superstitious?

I have this feeling like If I don't watch the game, the Rockets will lose and if they do lose I regret not watching it because I could of had an affect on the outcome of the game.

For some reason, I get uncomfortable If I watch the game with someone else. Prefer to watch the games by myself.

BTW shouldn't this be 'Rockets Habits on Game Day' instead of Superstitions?

Nope, not really. Some of mine are habits but others are superstitions like checking the standings and stats and avoiding the girlfriend.

But if anyone has habits as well feel free to post those as well.

I am only 3-0 (nothing compared to 9-0) when I go to the Rockets games.

1)06-07 Home opener against The Mavs, 30 point blowout

2)Game 1 of the 06-07 Playoffs vs the Jazz won by 9
3)Game 2 of the 06-07 Playoffs vs the Jazz won by 8

I want to go to a close game for once. My next game is March 18th vs Boston.

I hope my record holds! I'm pretty sure a WC team will have beaten the Celtics by then.

I always get wasted drunk after the Rockets lose.

I guess thats not a superstition or habit, it just helps me numb the pain :(

I have been to 3 Rockets games at the Staples Center and the Rockets have won all three of them (2 vs. Clippers last year, Opening night @ Lakers). I always get my seat to the left of the Rockets bench so that the players can see me waving my jerseys and stuff so I know I give them some extra energy!

i clap before an opposing player shoots a free throw. But i have to clap as soon as the foul is called, that way the wind can travel to the arena and slightly alter the shot just enough for them to miss...its possible

depth perception arena is cursed

last season i would wear my throwback tmac jersey whenever the games got close and normally we'd pull ourselves out.

but earlier in this season, everytime i watched, we would be up and lose. it happened in both philly games, the celtics game, first mavs game and the lakers game at TC, etc etc. ugh...i really thought i was a curse.

but i ended up buying some tickets to the spurs v. rockets game and i dont know what happened but matt bonner must've have broken my jinx. we've been 15 of 18 ever since pretty much.

no "pre game rituals" or anything like that this year. I either try to listen to it on the radio or just catch it on tv.

I mute the TV if we're losing that usually kicks off a little run for us. That's what is so good about last night - stress free.

At the start of the season, i noticed that we always lost those games in which Yao had won the tip-offs, it was DEADLY arcuate for a stretch of nearly 10 games, not working anymore btw.

    4-2 at the TC.
Whenever I go to the games and they play a western conference opponent they lose...

So I always try to go see an eastern opponent because I'm 4-0.

The 2 losses have come from the jazz (May 5 -game 7)
and lakers game this season (november 14th)

For some reason, when I am totally non-cognizant of a game we're playing that day, we end up winning. That applies in general when I don't watch some of their games. Ironically our recent turnaround happened after I decided not to follow the Rockets for a while, specifically after that Philly game. Up until recently I did not even as much as glanced at the GARM, nor looked up anything about related to the Rockets.

Also, does anyone keep a record of our record on national TV? Because I think we have a losing record based on nationally televised games, especially on ESPN. But for some reason, it always seem that we do really well when TNT is televising us.

Whenever any announcer mentions Yao's excellent FT shooting, he misses one.
