I don't know which forum should this be in, but why don't the Rockets try out any of the And1 players? I seen Streetball on ESPN2 and they got some mad skillz....any suggestions?
my bad, I'm so behind on Rocket news. You are right Truth, there are 3. Thanks for heyp's thread for bringing it to my attention we have this playa for training camp and mebbe longer if were lucky. Steve Goodrich aka "the darling" check em out here, dude is a beast: http://www.nba.com/playerfile/steve_goodrich/index.html
streetballers cant do nothing in NBA, dribble wont help the team to score. read this u will know how suck they r in NBA http://www.kicksology.com/reviews/and1/skiptomylou.html
The handle that and1 players have is overated. Only the very best of and1 can even begin to compete with the ball handlers in the NBA.
Ok Man, let's see Hot Sauce try to put the ball through the defenders legs, hear the crowd go OOH, and then clang the jumper. Give me a break... We know who's really stupid...
The ball handling is legal when your in the park, but when your in the NBA it's just a bunch of illegal ball handling. I can see the refs now blowing the whistle as much as they when Barkley was in the post; illegal defense time after time. It just make the game slow and boring. A headache we don't need.
You said it best..... they're street players. I don't think those guys know anything about defense. Have you seen how they just stand there while the other guy just dribbles the ball for like a minute. Right!......NBA coaches will love that! Those guys are good, but not in the NBA please!, no, not in the NBA. Keep them on the streets.
So, what you'all are saying, is that they are no different than college players and european players. Great skills but no defense. Uh huh. I bet you one of these kids makes to the nba in the next five years and the doors open up for the rest of them. I think it's ridiculous to believe that nobody from the street could make it. It's all about opportunity, and I bet you at least one kid has been working night and day until he get's his. That's life. It's almost inevitable. The doors are begining to open for these kids and eventually one of them will step thru it.
ie Steve Francis... j/k I agree 10,000,000%, the league does not need LESS 'D' and MORE one-on-one play. Those are the two primary factors in the decline of the league's popularity.
