After watching 4 games this season, it strikes me that, other than Stevie, the Rockets just don't know what they want to do on offense. They seem downright confused at best, and sometimes paralyzed. The result is that the team plays offense without confidence, their fans lose confidence, and the opposing team senses it and increases their confidence. Unfortunately, if this is in fact true, I don't have a solution to hand Rudy.
I have to agree with you to a point. But keep in mind they are trying to move away from the ISO offense. They are in a transition period right now, which isn't pretty. On the bright side, we are above .500 and we only lost by one point last night. Once we have more motion, more guys cutting to the basket, and more ball movement you will see what this team is capable of.
Actually, I disagree. Its not all through Stevie, and well, he IS the point guard, the offense flows quit well. I loved how they played in the first quarter last night. It was all ball movement. Mobley and Rice hitting the open jump shots, Kenny posting up, Mo Taylor posting up etc.. All in all, I liked how the offense went yesterday, we just got lost by a point. No biggie.
I didn't see anything like that last night. They might not know their roles to perfection yet, but they don't look confused or paralyzed to me.
ah don't worry about it zilches. Ming did look a little lost out there sometimes. The rocks did look lost defensively at times. There is no excuse for all the layups they gave up. If they had initiated the o earlier in the shot clock, I think you would have seen less forced shots and they would have looked a lot more comfy, esp in the 4th.
