Maybe the bat could help the Rockets out and block one of the Warrior's multiple layups.

Highlight of the game so far:D :D

    Bill Worrell is hysterical.

How about a final of 114-108 Rockets??

Well I got the 108 right

Didn't look like anyone, including RT and his substitution patterns, put forth much effort to win this one:confused:

    Pretty ugly.

If the Pope watched the Rockets play, he would be cussing like a sailor right now.

I honestly don't understand the infatuation with Moochie Norris. Does Rudy feel like he has to play him major minutes because of his contract??

    Is Rudy really tanking???

    Does Rudy care anymore???

    Does anyone else care anymore???

Sorry, but there's no excuse to lose to the Warriors at home, no matter what our record is.

I'm inclined to say that I hope the Rockets lose every game in which Rudy plays the "little dribbler" for the entire 4th quarter in that infernal damn 3 guard line-up - the scourge of my existence as a Rocket fan.

But then maybe that is why Rudy is doing this - tanking...

I don't know if the Houston broadcast mentioned it, but this was the second game IN A ROW for the Warriors to be interrupted by a bat.

There was also a flying-bat break on Tuesday when they played the Spurs. The question is, did the bat hitch a ride with San Antonio on Thursday, or the Warriors tonight??? :)

As long as I'm chasing ping pong balls ... bring on that three guard thing, Rudy! Shoot, why not go to it at the half? I had a W penciled in here, so this is a great assistance.

I wonder if the diuretic takes some getting used to ;) ?

Does anyone think someone snuck the bat in and released it? This could be a trend for copycats.

I've just pre-empted the bobble head comic for Monday.

It will be replaced by a special Mooch comic! A few flying mammals will also appear!

    Dive-bombing bat delays Warriors-Rockets game

    March 8, 2002

HOUSTON (AP) -- Houston guard Moochie Norris was buzzed by a bat on the basketball court Friday night, causing a delay in the Rockets-Warriors NBA game before the mammal was captured by a ballboy.

Norris cringed and froze with an astounded look before referee Courtney Kirkland halted play.

The animal continued flying around the court, swooping and climbing, sometimes lapping the court above the second deck before making another dive. The Rockets and Warriors, many laughing, scattered as the crowd egged on the bat.

Play resumed about 5 minutes later as the bat returned to the rafters. It descended again during a timeout promotion in which children were shooting baskets.

The ballboy, Greg Mueller, nabbed the bat with a net and carried the interloper out of the arena. The bat was immediately released outside and flew into a tree.

Do you think Mooch was in any way affected by the shock or did he just suck last night?

Here is what happened: The Golden State Warriors know that Moochie Norris is capable of making the big time three, so they sent a bat in the game with San Antonio so that it can buzz Norris in the head. Apparently, that did not work, so they found the right time to send it in during the game. The bat, just so happened to be electronic and it shocked Norris in the ear. From there, Norris was unable to hear directions from his teammates and coaches.
